Intel won't show up because they would get pwned. Not a good idea to show up knowing that you're going to lose. Intel is just having a hard time adjusting to AMDs rise in the cpu market. AMD has quietly been focused on quality and innovation as opposed to gimmicky commercials and stiff arming tactics like Intel.
Just doing a search for "hyperthreading problems" in Google will give you hundreds of articles about this. I remember complaints coming out right after the release of those CPUs from places like Anandtech and so on. In some cases, having hyperthreading enabled could cause a crash. Nice job Intel. I'll stick with my Athlon

Say what you will about Google, but 4 days is fast. I think Microsoft takes weeks, if not months to fix problems. As a matter of fact, I bet there are vulnerabilities that are years old. Not to mention that M$ gets angry whenever a security group points out a bug.
Companies are so worried about piracy that they go to these extremes. What they need to look at is why are people pirating. Many people pirate because the thought of spending $17 for a cd is rediculous considering that only a few songs are worth a damn. Secondly, DRM makes it worse because people can't rip the audio for their mp3 player. This drives people to piracy and the DRM makes it worse and drives the consumer away. Just lower the damn prices and let me burn it, rip, or do anything else I want with it because it's mine!
I agree that out of the box on release the 360 will be far from stellar, but thats to be expected. A system like this takes time to mature. Programmers have to gear up for a new platform and so on. There is definately no reason to jump on this especially at the high price. I would wait till Sony and Nintendo release theirs thus driving down prices.
While I find this accomplishment impressive, I think energy should be focused on the basics in poor nations. Basic necessities like food, clean water, healthcare are more vital. Yes technology is great, but look at the US. Every kid uses a computer from day one and we still lag behind many countries in the basics like math and science.
Now if both browsers and programmers would adhere to the html standards we might actually get somewhere. I'm tired of testing my website in 3 browsers and seeing three different results:(
People can complain all they want, but this is a bold step for the networks. Obviously, there needs to be improvements, but this shows that p2p is not evil like its being portrayed. Networks are finally getting the message! In time, this will improve:)
