It seems that pictures/paintings/other pictorial representations have a special examption from the copyright of an architecture.
"The copyright in an architectural work that has been constructed does not prevent the making, distributing, or public display of pictures, paintings, photographs, or other pictorial representations of the work - but only if the building in which the work is embodied is located in or ordinarily visible from a public place."
An average laptop consumes about 50 watts. Using the back of a 15" screen as receiver (0.07 m^2), the intensity is about 50 / 0.07 = 714 watt/m^2. As a reference, "a site in Eastern Oregon receives 600 watts per square meter of solar radiation in July". http://zebu.uoregon.edu/disted/ph162/l4.html >
See, it's just like walking by an unshaded window in a summer's day.
I am wondering if MS has sold those stocks, since AAPL has grown significantly well since internet bubble busted( $10 vs $200). It is a very good investment for MS even without voting/dividend rights. Now what if MS did have a say on ipod/mac design...
We all know how broken the current patent system is, especially the 'software patent' evil.
Can we use wiki-like system to undermine it? Create a wiki for everybody to record something new, no matter how small/useless it might look like, and dedicate it to public domain. With properly managed time stamps, it can be a collection of all 'prior art'. (It's just like doing something oppsite to wikipedia, which stresses so much on unoriginality.)
Given Sony's background at consumer electronics, it won't be surprising if they put a direct link on their PSP, PS3, cell phone... anything has network capability. Basically, you edit and upload on your pc, you watch it on your gadgets. IMHO, that's a viable plan to take on youtube.
That may be true for most cases except for ebay. Competition between buyers will push the price to somewhere very close to the "market price", given there are enough buyers interested. In some rare case of "unreasonable" closing price, you can but envy at the buyer's luck. That's the nature/beauty of auction system.
Ture the ac plug of your ACER notebook might solve the problem, if you can.

You should just use the $750,000 back seats as your server. Now, /. that!
No. It's actually 8*64 - they figured out a new way to define 1GB=660 764 199 byte (2^30/13*8), and patented it!
Defensive, offensive, when you send out lawyer's mail, what's the difference?
someone please tell me how to tell if there's real platinum in my Capital One® platinum Card, I always want to know.

the computers of QC guys are infected.
Who is the "Anonymous Coward" now?
Just FYI. The author: Feng-hsiung Hsu was the architect and the principal designer of the IBM Deep Blue chess machine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feng-hsiung_Hsu
For those of you who have access to ieee online journal, it is still available through http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/RecentIssue.jsp?punumber=6
Apparently, you know nothing about MS.
Is this a subtle compliment to sony's Super Rub-a-Dub?, which, btw, has a score of 2.9/10.
... which this internet is too narrow to contain.

Just curious. And how big are the most interesting ones ( have more than, say, 10 hits per day)?
Now he is one hour less. FXXXing politicians always mess up with CTU's plan!
I am wandering how many "stolen" novels/poems/essays will be uncovered once the Google Library is completed, and who will appear on the blacklist...
"the content protection mechanisms ...... will lead to better driver quality control."
mechanisms = control
Get it?
By "breaking groud" you mean "breaking roof", is that right?

Raw computational/graphical power? admittedly. Profitability, earning/cost ratio? probably not, we will see. Fun factor? Definitely NOT!
Just like the "Report Phishing" button at those web browsers.
