Anyone who has used a computer for a few years knows well enough how to navigate about a computer, even if not with a command line. Linux is getting better about being better for that average joe who wants nothing to do with a command line.
of course without the games, a console is pretty much a really expensive paper weight.
even though the logic of the thought of buying the machines only makes since on a large scale, when its comes down to it, it is absolutely rediculous, especially since nobody is going to waste their hard earned cache on something they only bought to stick it to the person they bought it from. i suppose some people prefer to live outside a little thing i call reality.
so how many vinyls can you fit in your pocket? and if you could fit one, how many times will you get the line "is that a vinyl in your pocket or you just happy to see me?"
just as the 60's saw the age of hippies, we are now seeing the age of emo. what better way to describe how miserable your life is than to tell it to the world (or the six people who actually care to read about it)
1. be prepared to wait a long time. besides as you get older your vision gets worse so the difference between 1080p and 1080i and 720p and blah blah blah won't mean a darn thing
2. until you drop it and it implodes. or of course if chuck norris kicks it in. i hear he does that.
3. you can get a decent 32 or 37" HD LCD now for 1000 or less. I got my 32" for 800 after tax almost a year ago. Just don't expect to find that at Best Buy (got mine at tiger direct)
normally when doing shopping for things (read: not gasoline), even though we tend to want the cheaper prices we also usually feel a bit more geared towards a particular brand and will lean towards it over the non-favored brand so long as the price difference isn't too high.
however, when it comes to guzzoline, most people I think simply go for the cheapest price and/or convenience of being close to where they happen to be when the Empty mark is reached. It is my belief that for the most part brand has almost nothing to do with gas, with only few exceptions.
Isn't this like throwing out the baby with the bathwater, when the bath was already drained anyway?
I dunno, but i think seeing a baby go flying out of a bathtub would be pretty hilarious either way. +10 points for each time it bounces before coming to a stop.
thats the price of ONE game. get over it. I think all things considered its a great price point to start at, especially since I'm sure a year later you'll see it for 200 or so. While I do wish they gave the option to buy it without coming with a sports game, since thats most definitely not on my list of games to get, I do understand that its such a negligable thing to worry about. Let the games decide how this new gig deals.
I have the NES, SNES and 64 but skipped over the Gamecube since PS2, Xbox, and 360 have in the meantime been more worthwhile. I sure do hope they deliver as it seems it could, i really wanna use that remote in a Oblivion style hack and slasher asap!
What! The Japanese! in NYC!

Python seems to me like the perfect intro scripting language for today's up and coming programmers. While many have fond memories of BASIC, or in my case the TI-83 calculator version of that, times have changed and maybe more advanced architectures will allow the new programmers to get more of a head start into getting into those more advanced applications.
its also important to remember that 3.2Ghz for one processor doesn't mean equal speed to 3.2Ghz for a separate processor... that just happens to be the interval at which the bits are thrown around inside the thing. Whats important is how it handles those bits, the latency time of going from one end to the other along with all the gates that must be travelled along the way. Cell is actually many times faster in this regard than your typical 3.2Ghz intel or amd (with respect to specific computational type applications of course)
The more the merrier.. of course it must be fun content. However, I definitely prefer games which don't hide over 50% of the content from you unless you do 100% of this or 100% of that. I just don't have the time to do 100%, its usually between 50 and 75% completion for most things.
Their points are all rediculous and terrible and actually bring up even more of the problems with the PS3.
I kinda felt the same way as I read it. They were definitely trying to be more like a devil's advocate, but ended up sounding more like a fanboy. The only thing anyone should do, is wait for the system to be released, as well as the games, and once its in someone's hands before saying anything more about it. Everything that can be said about the PS3 has, now is the waiting game...
the first two were shameful... however I, as well as many others that share the sentiment about the first 2, really liked the third one. You should check it out, its so much darker and much more going on inside the characters
It may be a great game, I'm not going to comment on that since I know nothing about it... however that is probably the 2nd worst video game title EVER. The first, of course, being Big Mutha Truckers.
Its been my experience as of late that myspace has gotten sloppy, slow, and quite simply stupid. I get tons of friend requests from Advertisement profiles, and even though there's less stuff filling the screen it still seems to be clunkier than facebook. Myspace is going to die a slow, painful death in my opinion simply because facebook really does have more going for it.
i don't think selling this game will be a problem, its got some good hype, doesn't require a monster PC gaming rig as far as I can tell, and seems to fit within that oh so sellable kinda-casual type game market that The Sims is already in. So long as the game is fun and will run on peoples' computers, its gonna do pretty well.
Everyone has to have some sort of escapist activity, because everyone suffers from some sort of depression on some level. That's just what it is to be human, to always really yearn for something more, something better. There is absolutely no one out there who can honestly say and actually TRULY believe in saying there is not one thing in their life they'd like to change for the better, its simply the imperfection of humankind.

definitely sounds like someone (or lotsa someones) has more than a few screws loose if they actually think people will buy into this crap.

Will it be the kind that Firefox+Adblock can block :)
:(
or will it be the kind that annoys you for 30 seconds at the beginning of each clip

Ya gotta hand it to em, it was funny
one word: Freespire
it comes with the ability to play all media, video, web, audio, etc. They even just made their software download service free (for free apps that is)

OH NOES! They're back Pearl Harbor style!
its actually a capital S. the lowercase ones are still there.
