    How is she getting a bonus? If it's scheduled then it's not a bonus, it's a wage. If it's not scheduled then WTF has she done to deserve a bonus?

    The Drake Equation allows for the possibility of exogenesis which thusly nullifies any requirements you might think to add to planets.

    fl = the fraction of planets that could support life that actually develop life at some point <-- allows for exogenesis.

    What we're really seeing here is the real life long-term damage of Wii Sports. People got it Christmas of 2006 and immediately destroyed their TVs by accidentally chucking the controller at the TV. Everyone saw the pictures, had a good laugh and Nintendo covered it all up by muddling search results by naming their new controller attachment the "Wii Nunchuk" which they knew would be dubbed the "Wii Chuck" and thus misdirect everyone looking for information about chucking their Wii controllers at the TV. So as you can clearly see, Nintendo is leading the charge on TV genocide. I'd tell you why they are commit such heinous war crimes but I'm afraid you just aren't ready for that level of truth. ;)

    Let's round it up and say you are paying $40K/year for housing and say $40K for taxes. If you are burning through $80K a year on food, clothing, transport and entertainment, then you are doing something very wrong.

    Stop eating at restaurants for every meal.
    Stop buying expensive coffee.
    Stop using uber for everything.
    Stop subscribing to every stupid service.
    Stop spending real money to buy fake money in video games.

    Publicly traded company will always whatever is in their stockholders best interest (as they are required to do so by law) which forces businesses to behave like sociopathic entities. Since there are no repercussions for losing sensitive data related to your customers, it's only a benefit to collect and sell the information. Any publicly traded company will harvest as much data as they can to sell as long as the extent of their actions remains hidden (exposure is bad for business and thus they must be avoid it by law).

    This is the dystopian present we live in. There is no need to deny it but there is a need to reform the system because this behavior has led to many harmful and extremely shortsighted decisions.

    Perhaps this is just my perception but I've always thought the plan was to develop the technology and then license it to car manufacturers. Did anyone honestly think that some technology companies were actually going to manufacture entire cars without any experience in the field of manufacturing let alone automotive manufacturing?

    The Entertainment Software Association, a trade organization that includes Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, as well as dozens of video game developers and publishers, is opposing a "right to repair" bill in Nebraska, which would give hardware manufacturers fewer rights to control the end-of-life of electronics that they have sold to their customers...

    Typical Rick and his buddies must be against this. I'm just surprised that there aren't video game development studios against it. ;)

    we are not living under a capitalist economy. It is crony capitalism at best, but closer to fascism.

    I would argue that this is the natural outcome of capitalism in a system where people must work to survive.
