  2. When a process does a system call, the control goes to the kernel. The kernel looks up the capabilities of the process that made the call, and actually, you know, uses them.

    What are your sources for those numbers? They don't seem completely off, but it would be nice to know what year they were from, etc.

    Those 20% include several lumped-together categories. 20% were on different kinds of welfare in 2010, but that includes the disabled (not sure what year your 12% is from, though - hard without sources...), a special early retirement program, and welfare directed to getting people back into work.

    Also, note that close to all teachers - from kindergarten up to and including university, most doctors and most nurses are employed by the government in Norway and other Scandinavian countries.

    It's nice that you always remember which buisnesses are allowed to send you newsletters.

    Don't you think it's plausible that someone signs up for a newsletter, and when they get it 3 weeks later have forgotten, and mark it as "spam"? Wouldn't that be a problem with the suggested anti-spam system, especially for smaller buisnesses?

    If there is incriminating evidence on the harddrive, then the police already have it. She would be pointing out the incriminating parts of the harddrive by providing a key, and therefore she would become a witness against herself.

    You can call the powershell modules from any .NET-language, as long as the windows automation libraries are installed - and Exchange needs those anyway.

    So no, you don't _need_ to use powershell. But you might as well.

    KDE's release wasn't really that disasturous. They released their platform, which was pretty ready to start building on top of.
    Now naturally all the "ultra-hip", "cutting edge" distros had to include the incomplete KDE 4 desktop, instead of the stable 3.5 one, when they could have just shipped the libraries; they can live side-by-side.

    My idea was to give every user a CA cert that was trusted on THEIR device, and none other. No need for any OCSP, only user-compiled source would run without being signed by Apple, and it would only run on their own device.

    The simple way would be to generate a "private" developer certificate to go with every phone.

    While I'm certainly not opposed to the idea, both scores and recordings exists that are out of copyright. Bach is probably one of the easier composers to get hold of both scores and recordings.

    The checksum for the _code_ section is stored in the _data_ section of the binary. Does that help?

    Your private key can be stored in a bank box, or a small fireproof safe.

    It's not convenient to store several years of backups in those places.
