    I've programmed PHP to use SQL Server and MySQL, the MySQL statements typically run in milliseconds, it usually takes SQL Server two or three seconds to respond.

" How many times has the climate changed in the last 200,000 years? Blaming threats to the grass on civilization, sure, but it seems to be able to cope with ice ages and warming spells just fine. (sigh)

    BTW, with Russia's Creative Commons system, mp3 websites are holding on to mucho moolah that's for the artists, but the RIAA is not allowing them to collect.

    Makes me feel good about getting a flick for a buck at red Box and doing a quickie rip. I didn't used to be this way, I thought five bucks for an older DVD was a good buy, but add the general assholeishness of the MPAA as stated above to that inane FBI warning I have to sit through before the movie starts (anyone else find it ironic that, in the very opposite paradigm of shareware, you get nagged if you pay for it?), and I'm a renter-and-ripper now.

    Sure nice to watch mp4's on my phone sans that dumbass warning...

    Lookout, the discoverers of this Chinese crap app, is a free lightweight add-on which scans any app you install, as well as letting you track lost/stolen phones, doing back ups, and more. It's a great app, it should be the first Android app installed, IMHO, YMMV.

    I'm just glad drivers get written at all. In the last ten years, Linux has gone from daunting to a snap to install and maintain. If you can contribute, and you aren't doing so, you have no reason to bitch about the tardiness of drivers. Heck, you don't have a right to bitch anyway about something that's free.

    What you say is true about copyright.

    That's not why the entire record business is in free fall, not by a long shot.

    Couple of interesting points here. First of all Quicken Loans seems to make the list every year, while others come and go. Sounds like the real deal to me. However... Second, I can recall 8 years or so back that Walmart was up there. At the time, they had a strong anti-outsourcing policy. NOW, they outsource all they can. And they are missing from the list. Remember when Walmart also had a strong "Buy American!" policy? :-P I guess the moral is it may be great to work somewhere now, but brace yourself...

    I've hooked up with a number of individuals from my past, and it's been an overall positive experience for me. Yes, Zuckerberg is an annoying a-hole, but Facebook is beneficial to me.
