  4. You have to wonder on Spy Drones Used To Hunt Down Christopher Dorner · · Score: 4, Interesting

Dorner kills and posts a diatribe about the LADP's corruption and abuse of the public, citing cases like Rodney King. I wonder if Dorner's plan all along was to create mayhem and then let the LADP step into it and bring their abuses to light through their own actions. Already, the LADP has opened fire on two people in cases of mistaken identity in the search for Dorner.

  11. Taser mania on New Hampshire Cops Use Taser On Woman Buying Too Many iPhones · · Score: 5, Interesting

Something needs to change in police training. Too often cops resort to BBQing people with 50,000 volts at the least sign of resistance, and, in some instances, no resistance at all. Yet, too often when you see a mall shooting or hostage situation, you don't see the police putting their lives on the line to save people. They often seem far too concerned with their own safety than the public's, and all these taser incidents seem like a part of that mentality. That's just my observation. I'm sure there are also plenty of good cops out there too, but the bad ones seem to make the headlines far too often.

  20. Re:2012 on Einstein Letter Critical of Religion To Be Auctioned On EBay · · Score: 1

You're a sub-atomic particle looking out at the vastness of the universe. In fact, if the universe is nothing more than another particle in a vastly larger organism, scientists trying to discover the particles that make up that universe wouldn't be able to see you. On top of that, you consider the logic capability of your infinitesimally small brain to have the capacity of understanding the beginning of the universe, how life began, as well as why -- for some yet unexplained reason -- life propagated itself over and over again. Yet, you're the one saying "prove it", as if you have some special comprehension of the facts that others who disagree with you don't. The fact that you want to require physical proof for a spiritual experience only proves your lack and capacity for critical thought on the topic.

  21. Campaign finance reform should be at the top of every voter's decision list in voting for a candidate. Campaign finance laws currently allow all of the corruption we see above water in politics. If getting rid of corporate donations it's not on a politicians agenda, don't vote for them.

That doesn't seem to make sense. Is the theory that the universe is expanding more quickly at the edge than at the center or are we at further out looking in?
