For a guy who is designing/testing new language features (that don't have tooling support yet) I imagine he does use the console a lot.
It's hard to flip thru an ebook the same way you do a paperback.
They're also more likely to notice that their wallet is missing than their post it note with the password stuck to the desk.
I'd rather work with a language that paid a little less than one that I found hard to use.
