*lots of bugs
*lots of security holes
*lots of MS crap
*lots of new, not-so-exiting-features (because you have already seen them on GNU/Linux and OSX)
*a little of effort for taskbar.
I hope that vista will be expensive as possible since everybody knows that only vista people will buy is Ultimate edition and only Vista computer suppliers are going to offer is Vista Home Lite edition...
Just in case if you don't know. I assume that you have some kind of knowlege what is reverse engineering and what it means to have GPLed windows a like operating system.
Linux is not acctually unix. It's a unix-a-like operating system. People working with it have done it from scratch and used a lot of time to make it work. They have used the documentation available to make it compatible with unix standards and so on.
Now think about this. ReactOS is that kind of Operating system but it is trying to be windows compatible and windows-a-like instead of unix. It has took a one heck of more time to make it barely to work. It's reverse engineered and since there are no much documentation available of windows and it's fuctions. It has been one hell of a job to make it run software like Office and games such as Unreal Tournament.
This is a big archievement from the ReactOS people. It's in common knowlege for the people who have been following Windows beta news in net that when Blackcomp aka Vieanna hits the streets maybe 2010 or later it won't be running programs made for windowsxp and earlier because of the security issues related to those programs. Windows Vieanna is going to support only vista programs which are using new libraries and classes.
ReactOS is going to have lots of people using it to run older windows software if this really is true since I don't know for sure.
I want one! I want to drive with my own BattleTech mechwarrior made out of Tungsten which is worlds strongest metal in world. It is unbeatable and undestructable, and of course... heavily armed.:)

It's easy, first you do a software everybody wants, making it available on some other platforms. Then make it available to the most used platform and make it only work with that nevest Windows.

Well, it's pretty, and it's a amazing. I suggest that if you own SM3.0 supported graphics card you should check this out. I don't own such luxurie but I can tell that when I need a update to graphics card without these stypid benchmark programs. They are like computer art and brobably the first programs to be featuring life-a-like graphics.
I am fine with my 10~30 frames per second in lastest interesting enought to play games. Think about F.E.A.R it just sucks. I played it thought on hardest level in about 6-7hours. It is only about the graphics it has. Not the story or action. I got bored with it. Doom3 was more about graphics but at least it had that "you are under huge pressure" feeling. I think that since the graphics are advansing game makers like Introvision (they have titles like UpLink and Darwinia) those guys are acctually making games. Or what is a computer game? I think that "games" like FEAR, Doom3 and Half-Life2 are more like "Interactive-Movies" "viewer" "Walks throught". Notice that I didn't use word "player".
Say what you say but 3DMark is great Demo for your latest hardware. It takes at least year or two or even more to see that kind of effects in "games" but by then your hardware is already old.
I am running on FX7500Ultra and it run Doom3 like 50~70Fps on Medium/High.:]
And no, I haven't downloaded and watched the newest picture slideshow. I already know that I am likely to get as a result.

I think that at least couple months to get good EXA support from nVidia as they have to recode some parts their drivers.
Expect faster compositation (more eye candy) with this release and better drivers. Also you can expect nv driver doing things what haven't never dream about. nv ships with the R7 so you don't have to wait support for it. 3dacceleration and nvidia. I guess you can use current drivers but I am not sure about them since we have now new acceleration architecture. nVidia has it's own system for this so I don't know if they will implement EXA or continue using their own systems.
