Well, its not like I live out in the boonies. I live near OKC, but far enough out to only get DSL, not Cox. For which, I am glad to have high-speed internet at all. I'm just sayin, I wish we had FiOS.
But apparently, it's their (the gaming industry) job to make sure your kids don't play material that's "inappropriate". Isn't this some sort of double standard. If you insist the store be the parent for you, why not let it expand on it's job.

Your computer doesn't necessarily use 400 watts all the time. It might use mebbe 40-50w in idle, AKA, no 3D apps running, nothing using too much power.
I don't see why they just didn't have Myspace blocked. They do at my high school. I personally don't use it ( more of a facebook guy myself), but, be honest, there is no educational benefit to having access to Myspace at school.

I wonder when people will realize that hydrogen is merely an energy currency?
Do they realize that electricity (a.k.a. Fossil Fuels) must still be used to break apart the water?
Do they further realize that any compressed gas is a pain to transfer anywhere?
When will people realize that ethanol, until it can be produced in extremely massive quantities (30 gallons per vehicle per week, minimum), is merely a short-term solution to a long-term problem?
Why are people nowdays programmed to think just like the media wants them to think?
It's about time that we, as the comsumer, got some legislation to protect us from Big Business. Big Business has had laws in their corner for about as long as forever. If there was only a way to get this passed before the Sony debacle....
Technically isn't the border between Canada already open? I live in the South, so I'm not too sure; but in my three excursions to Canada, the only things they checked were our licenses and our items. Mind you this was pre-9/11, but I wouldn't think that that would have made it as less complicated.
Well, couldn't you just do it the other way around and port OSX to your regular Win/Linux PC. If you could, I'd be all for it, because then you could use your own hardware that you could upgrade as you wished AND you could play all the games AND you get the ease of use and relaibility of OSX. The best of both worlds.
This simply means that that is the price when you purchase 1000 processors. This is not necessarily the retail price you would find at newegg, best buy, etc.
Well you can only get so small before you start running into quantum difficulties, electrons randomly transporting to other parts of the chip, electic drain (when the processor consumes significant amounts electricity when it's off), and of course, everyone's favorite, heat issues. AND, you're still thinking in terms of Ghz being the only measure of CPU speed; pipeline length is also an important factor in cpu speed, Even though the Ghz have'nt increased, doesn't mean that processors have'nt been getting better.

Actually, the MPAA is trying to make the cards not capable of recording copyrighted material by "flagging" copyrighted shows. The dreaded "broadcast flag" would make the card not able to record any "flagged" material. Or something like that... You can read all about it at the EFF website.
Is it April 1st already?

Why can't the USA get decent internet?
Why am I stuck with 1.5m/384k DSL?
When will FiOS get to Oklahoma!!!

Unless we can figure out some type of FTL method of traveling.(Faster Than Light); I'd say this guy is 100% correct.
