I've not used any of these. I personally use the "spaghetti" solution.:) But here are a few suggestions. Bed Bath and Beyond has something that sits on your desk. Just search their site for "charging". I've also seen many DIY solutions on Lifehacker.com such as customized IKEA tables.
I have to say that I'm getting so sick of hearing about Vista being bad. Story after story. Post after post. When does it end? You had problems. They were real not perceived. You missed Dragon Con AND a Magik match because of it. You were forced to uninstall Vista and then installed XP or Linux or Leopard or BSD or OS2 or whatever. Then you were happy. Vista sucks. We get it. Now could you please get over it!
I understand exactly what you mean. But isn't there a fundamental difference in the architecture in Linux (all flavors) that makes it much more difficult for viruses to propogate? I thought it had something to do with the fact that most Windows users have administrative privileges while using Linux as root is taboo. Again I don't know much on the subject.
I agree though extortion may be too strong of a word.
Put the issue of bugs aside. Programs are written by people and we all make mistakes. But why can't the architechture Windows be improved instead of offering an anti-virus program? I admit that I don't know much about the inner-workings of an operating system. But why can Windows not be more like Linux, in which viruses are basically a non-issue?
Ok, the article says nothing of the specific circumstances of the case. But unless this lady's children were on the streets of Bangkok (or wherever folks sell such things) selling thousands pirated copies of Britney Spear's latest album, I think the lawsuit totally overboard - even if the RIAA is in the right (which I don't concede). Children do stupid things. You don't see Nestle suing the parents of every kid who steals a candy bar from a 7-11.
I agree and I'd like to add that baseball's declining popularity is also due to overpaid players taking steroids and tossing chairs into the stands. It seems like when I start talking baseball people frequently respond with "ever since the strike..." or something along those lines. Baseball still has lots of fans to win back, so alientating people who are arguably some of their best fans is just stupid. Let fans continue to have the access to stats they are used to. Encourage any other hype surrounding the sport.
I have heard that people still watch commercials in spite of having Tivo. I think it's because we are so used to watching them. The catch is when a really bad commercial comes on you skip it and the rest. I certainly find that is what I do.
Speaking of bad commercials, what advertising genius thought that hearing someone loudly chewing crunchy cereal is a good thing?!
The music industry is getting way out of control! Are they intentionally trying to alienate their customers? I don't dispute that they own the lyrics. However in kindergarten I learned about something called sharing. What harm can come to them? I think knowing the lyrics only enhances the experience of the songs. What's next? They could sue Bose because their speakers enable bystanders who did not pay for music to hear it.
The first rule of entertainment is "Give them what they want."

Can I put this guy in my fave 5?
I would just put my cardboard cutouts of Pamela Anderson and Boba Fett in the living room. :)
Well if it is then that's just mean!
Not that we can talk after all the steroids in baseball discussions.

I would rather be left alone altogether.
