There is an access road to each tower (dirt trail) that has to be considered, but otherwise you can farm right around them. They must be spaced apart, and there's no reason not to use the land in between as farm ground.
I heard a commercial on the radio a while back here in the USA that said BP stood for "Better Petroleum". Probably just a marketing spin, but I laughed.
I believe there are many in this community that are willing to spend $200 on a toy. If I were to purchase a new video card for ~$200 to play games on my computer, I would consider that a toy. All the current generation gaming consoles are also in that range or above. Some may not consider them toys, but I do.. and so does dictionary.com
Don't get my wrong, I love my TiVo box, but TiVo isn't prompt with keeping up with listings changes. I own 2 units and everytime my cable provider has added/removed or shuffled channels, I have to enter a ticket. It takes about a week after the ticket is entered for it to be updated.
So while I agree that this isn't going to eliminate confusion, I have no sympathy for any hardship bestowed on TiVo's update department.
We left Gateway 3 years ago. We felt this coming, and wanted to get out before our warranties were up. We got close.
We went to Dell for a year.. then they jacked up prices. We've been buying dc5750's for 2 years. Now are moving to dc5850's. The dc5750 has been pretty solid, so far HP has been good to us. It's been nice to have a model last so long.
I figured that is why they've started packaging everything with the CS(x) scheme. You may not know it's internal version, but at least you know which lineup it's from.
I hate that year equals version scheme. When we were rolling out Office 2007, my helpdesk got several requests for "Windows 2007". All you can do is laugh about it. However back when we were rolling out Windows XP and Office XP at roughly the same time that kind of confusion really had an impact.
If one feels that Palin is unqualified to be VP, then certainly Obama is unqualified to be President.
I would believe that you should be able to reverse that statement and say that if Obama is unqualified to be president, then Palin would be unqualified to be VP. After all, a VP should be qualified to be president if they could assume the office at any moment if something were to happen to the president.
If John McCain believes as he claims that Obama is not ready, and the above reasoning is sound.. it just shows that there is not reason within politics.
I was pricing out an HP notebook the other day on their website and apparently my "Vista Home Basic" was incompatible with 2 1 gb memory modules. It required a $28 upgrade to a single 2 gb module.
I always laugh when I hear this. As a child I was taught that Jesus was born (1st coming) and then was crucified. He was then resurrected (2nd coming) before ascending into heaven.
Does only a resurrection count as a "coming"? Seems to me they are either promoting something that has already happened, or should be promoting the 3rd coming.
I agree, it's not right that the children are considered criminals at birth. However, it is also not right that they become citizens because of their parents criminal act.
My parents always told me that they want life to be better for me then it was for them. Lets say my parents were Mexican Citizens. If they knew that my chances would be a lot better living in the USA then in Mexico, it would be an incentive for them to immigrate (legally or illegally) under our current system.
It's just not an issue in which there is a "right" and a "wrong". Unfortunately there are a lot of "wrongs" and nobody has found the "right" yet.
Coffee shops and restaurants are somewhat different businesses. Coffee shops want people to hang around because they'll buy another cup or two. Restaurants on the other hand know that once people have had their meal they are doing spending money there. There are exceptions to that, but it is generally true. If a Restaurant's tables are generally full they want people to eat and then leave. Ever have to wait for a table? Imagine if that place had free WiFi and people stuck around after they ate. People maybe coming to expect it like water and electricity, but having a restroom with running water and electricity isn't going to keep people occupying tables for longer periods of time.
The point of the writers strike was to deprive us of entertainment to the point that the networks would be forced to give in to the demands of the writers. Unfortunately, GWB's writers aren't members of the screenwriters guild. It might have been more entertaining if he didn't have a speechwriter.
Interesting. Does it do it during prime time? Do you say midnight because that's the only time you tend to watch TV? While it's possible the box may be reporting that information back, if it's only after midnight it might be that the cable box makers are trying to be a little "green" and send the device into standby mode based on the time. After all, the vast majority isn't watching TV between the hours of 12am and 6am.
You are right, the energy isn't lost. It's more expensive energy though. Heat is a byproduct of a running computer, but not the purpose of that computer. Using an idle computer as a space heater is very inefficient. It's less expensive to use the actual heating system and shutting computer down. You also have to consider during the summer time when the cooling system is on.
This was new to me as well.

I often said my Calc teacher in college spoke 7 languages, but not a damn one of them was english.

I saw my first TV ad for the G1 yesterday. I was kind of surprised to see it and wondered if it was the android phone that's been discussed here.

Microsoft Money is now known as "Bill Gates MoneyXP 2011"

Actually the poll system just "lost" the 2005 votes.
which could be included as part of the icon...
Sorry we only make engines and provide them to all the major manufacturers. Please speak with them about the accessory packages.
Hey that's important!

As root admin I've been anticipating this day. I have been soaking my liver in a nice rum marinade nightly to prepare. Enjoy.

They don't appear to be licensed in Nebraska.

That data is flawed too. The box might be tuned to a specific channel at a specific time, but they don't know if the TV set itself is turned on.
