Actually I am very aware of it, almost all movies and new stories are based on classical literature. It means that rarely are there truly new stories, simply stories that are rediscovered or retold. That seems like a lot of wasted effort to me.

Oh screw off, culture and the arts are an important part of defining "who we are" as a race. Without our movies, music, paintings and books we would completely loose our sense of who we are, and where we've been. (books in particular, do you really think the world would not be negatively effected if all of the classics simply ceased to exist over night?)

Maybe all those classics majors would get out there and ya know... do something useful?

In all seriousness the genetic divergence is negligible, most of the problems in the black communities in the us stem from either latent racism or from serious endemic social problems (personally I believe it has more too do with the latter at this point)

It's a very interesting problem. There is basically no way for copyright holders to find content being shared illegally on RS unless they find a link somewhere to the file.

RS has no index, so how are copyright holders supposed to notify them of copyrighted material?

This is slightly unrelated but there is an awfully large amount of child pornography on RapidShare. I was a moderator at an image board website with a porn board and every single day there would be multiple posts linking to child pornography on RapidShare. I reported all of the links but I have no idea if they were actually taken down.

Army Group B would have easily destroyed the entire Russian force if they had been allowed to fight in the open instead of in Stalingrad during the winter as Hitler insisted on.

The advantage the Russians had was that of numbers and winter clothing, in urban combat numbers mean more than technology and firepower, in open country technology and firepower are the deciding factor. This is also why the US is having trouble fighting in urban environments to this day, force multipliers basically do not work in urban combat.

Thankfully Hitler's ego wouldn't allow him to withdraw from the namesake city of the Russian's leader.
