A lot of people also support him just because he isn't Hillary. As most of the pundits have stated thousands of times before, Hillary is no one's second choice. She has had all of her supporters from day one. As the other candidates drop out, their supporters go to whichever non-Hillary candidates are left.
For my part, I'll be sitting this election out unless Hillary gets the nomination. If that happens, I'll go just for the purpose of voting against her.
Some of us however need to run more than StarOffice, Firefox, and the JDK.
Snide Aside: Does Solaris still ignore all the networking setup questions it asks you during install?
"Thank you for filling out the IP and Routing information as well as the Hostname. Please write these down so that you'll have them for reference when you build out the network confs by hand after the installer is finished."
While I'm not for the idea of codifying nanny-state monitoring, realistically I just don't care. I've always tried to take the approach (and educate others) that if I wouldn't write it on a postcard, then I don't type it on "the internet."
This has nothing to do with the government collecting and reading my emails (or anything else for that matter), I have just as little faith in the network of mail servers and search engines. I know google/aol/microsoft all say they're not doing anything I wouldn't like with the data they collect, but I'm more comfortable knowing that the data they collect on me is useless.
If I need something to be private, I can encrypt it.
Yes I do, and 10 years later, they're still 4th in a 3 browser race.
You can use any browser you want, no one is stopping you.
The widows UI (you know all this) uses the IE render engine, the same way OS-X uses Safari's, KDE uses Konquerer's, and Gnome uses Epiphany's. If you remove the whole browser, you break the UI. So, you remove the UI to the Browser and leave the render engine. On any of them. On all of them. Or you could save the "uninstall script" and just delete the shortcut.
The difference is you want to be able to completely remove IE from the machine altogether. KDE won't let you remove Konq, hell, Gnome won't even let you remove Gaim.
Microsoft isn't forcing anyone to use IE, I've never once failed to download and install any web browser that has a Windows version in any version of Windows.
You're just pissed that few people care which browser they use.
Opera released Version 3.0 about 2 months after Microsoft released IE4, and 6 months after Netscape dumped the famously ugly and bloated Communicator (4) on us (1997).
Opera didn't appeal to the market then either. The only game in town was Netscape.
Funny how it's never Opera's fault, but it's always a different Bad Guy.
No, I'm actually a fan of "whatever makes you happy," it's just that GTA bored me to death. I don't find killing pixels to be unethical.
First, you steal a car, then you drive it. Then to change things up, you steal a different car. "Woohoo."
At least with III, the guns and fighting were so badly unbalanced it wasn't worth the effort of trying to have a shoot-out, so you were left with your choice of which identical feeling cars you wanted to steal.
As for getting better, I couldn't tell you. With III so bad, I didn't feel the need to try Miami Vice City, and since I'm not much of a Bicycle-Riding-Gang-Banger myself, there is between zero and no attraction for me in S.A.
If you like it, go for it.
I just think Rockstar has no cred when it comes to "gosh we didn't know this mindlessly violent game would have this kind of reaction even though our last four mindlessly violent games did." I just think they are shitty games with corporate shills trying to push them on the controversy since there's no merit to sell them on. You never hear Rockstar saying "This game has new dynamic , and unreal physics with free-roaming." All you get is "Strike a blow against censorship by buying yet another identically bad sequel!"
For what it's worth, I was mostly making a joke.:)

Oh? Is that all we need to do? I'm logged into my Linksys router right now... which page is that on?
With Comcast leading the charge of ISPs determined to completely destroy the usability of the protocol, will a new version make any difference? Is it not already too late?
Unless they fired everyone responsible for writing the drivers and the entire QA department, then that still makes this one in a row. Even if AMD holds them to a higher standard, it'll take at least one more good driver to convince anyone of it. Like I said, ATI has had working drivers once or twice before.
Besides, people have a long memory when it comes to garbage hardware. A $40 game that blows can be a fluke. A $200 (or more) video card that only does 640x480 in 16 colors is harder to forget.
Once a company burns you on hardware, there's no reason to ever have to go back to them if there is any competition at all. Look at the other options you have for graphics. Hell, people are even using built-in video instead of ATI. How bad do you have to be for people to prefer onboard video?
Lets suppose that this driver does all it says, and more. That'd be one in a row for ATI. They have even had drivers that will sometimes work under Windows. Not very often, and not by any stretch routinely.
Why would I put my money behind a product that I can be fairly certain will never have another driver that will ever work?

Huh? You mean they are gaming on them both at the same time? I guess I don't understand your point.

There. Fixed it for you.

They did get their name out to those of us that had not heard of them before.
However, they did also make sure that most of us over the age of 15 won't ever be buying games from them, fake apology or not.
Not like the name "gamecock" is going to be hard to remember. For better, or in this case, worse.
Sorry, that should have read:
"This game has new dynamic (something), and unreal physics (random) with free-roaming (blahblah)."
Slashdot stole my brackets.

"We are committed to making great interactive entertainment"
Yet they keep releasing GTA and Manhunt games.
If you're pissing either of them off, you must be doing something right.
I love that you managed to slip in "the whole "installer" insanity" after pissing and moaning about your platform's procedure.
Nothing but class.

It's MLB.
The videos already wouldn't play if it was Cold. Or Raining. Or Night. Or Outside.

Bermuda Triangle.
Despite the delusions of Mayor Adrian Fenty and Pretend-Representative Eleanor Holmes Norton, Washington D.C. is a city, not a state.
That's why it doesn't have congressional delegates or a Governor.
The rest of the article is similarly well researched and written.
Yup, fucked that up, didn't I?

Sorry about that... yes, Singapore Airlines, Emirates and Qantas have all purchased planes. My fault.
