So wouldn't this mean that each node would then be guilty of pirating, whether or not they actually download something illegal for themselves? You could say that just by running the software they knowingly distributed pirated content.
The "crash" was not an accident. It was a carefully thought out action aimed at introducing aliens into pop culture, and also to give the U.S. a small glimpse at a downed craft. The pilots of the egg shaped craft likely had their conciosnes's transfered (or were just from the B ark) to another vessel before the event anyway. It's all part of their plan to manipulate (for better or worse, you decide) the affairs and development of mankind.
Well I think its more of a cultural thing. Having everyone sing the company song and making them do jumping jacks doesn't go over very well with american workers. They've tried it.
"You need it to launch space stations that are bigger and stronger than the flimsy tin cans that we have in orbit now."
To make bigger targets? And what does a propultion system matter when its in the aim of a billion gigawatt laser. If anything I would think the trend would be towards micro-sat/stealth-sat technology. And maybe land based drone swarms and supersonic spy planes to serve at satalite/space alternatives.
There is a program called GIMP. It is an open source image manipulation program released under the GNU public lecense. It runs on many different platforms and its pretty much better than photoshop.
You should try it.
"3. Finally, MS doesn't make much money on things 360. Not yet, anyway. And really, regardless of how I feel about MS's style of competition and no matter what I might like or dislike about them, I don't lose sleep whenever I think about them making money. It's not like they're using the money to burn down forests and put lead in grade school water supplies."
well, waste heavy metals from discarded computers (that ran windows) are turning up in 3rd world water supplies...
Or stock up on the "kosher for passover" coke when its on sale every spring. They make it the original way with sugar because you can't eat corn products on passover.

Can anyone explain to me (in english where possible) how compression algorithms like this actually work?
Thats because when betamax came out there was no internet. Physical media pr0n gets more and more irrelevant daily.
I just told all my friends about that site. Knew it was too good to be true.

If I remember correctly, they did declassify an unmanned fighter plane a few years back, but I forget what it was called.
