Because individual decisions on that basis are inherently shortsighted. Like why bother paying for defense when my neighbors are all paying for it? I think I'll opt out and let them carry the burden. It's because of idiotic thinking like that that we have to have governments in the first place.
I wish I had mod points to promote this post. This is an important point that almost never gets said. Taxes are theft only if you believe the government is illegitimate. Otherwise, you are just a greedy, self-centered son of a bitch.
Has anyone else noticed that, as universally reviled as the TSA is, it is not remotely a campaign issue? Has any Conressional/Senate/Presidential candidate spoken about it?
First of all, Iran hasn't threatened to wipe anyone off the map, that's based on an intentional mistranslation, and second, consider the context. We're having a discussion about whether the US should basically 'wipe Iran off the map'. And people wonder why Iran wants deterrents.
Iran's government is more stable than the US's or Israel's who replace their leaders more frequently than Iran does, Iran's missiles are weaker and fewer in number than either the US or Israel's, and US/Israel have far worse reputations for actually smiting their neighbors, particularly those in Iran's neighborhood.
Seriously, everything about your statement is backwards and wrong.
As gp pointed out, you can find constant threats from Israeli and US officials, being made all the time, just spend like 5 seconds on Google. The quite provided was from an Israeli Prime Minister. Why hasn't Israel renounced its policy of Arab destruction???
Additionally, look up MEK, a terrorist group funded and supported by Israel and the US that has been doing things like assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists. Furthermore, who has whom encircled militarily? Oh, that's right, it's the US that has military assets on all of Iran's borders.
I would agree with this assessment if and when Google Maps becomes available in the App Store, but it isn't now, and it isn't clear whether Apple will allow it or has already been rejecting it because "it duplicates existing functionality" or some BS like that.
This misses the point completely. Most users will upgrade willingly and blindly, and only find put after the fact that they forever lost their treasured functionality, and cannot go back. Once Apple stops signing iOS5.x, there is no going back. It's not about force, it's abuse of trust.
You assume that because you know what the update entails, everyone else does too. This is plainly not true, and a lot of users will update because they trust Apple. This is the first time an iOS update has ever removed functionality. A lot of users are going to realize this only after the fact and be pissed, and rightfully so.
Apps are designed to the OS, websites are designed to standards. Apps are going to be inherently superior. If anything, the app is more direct and it's Safari and the web interface that is the obnoxious wrapper.
I can't help but notice the summary and linked articles all neglect to inform us where the disease came from. The last time a major outbreak occurred in Mexico it was due to negligent and unsanitary conditions at a Smithfield farm, but tha information was quickly ignored and glossed over. Is it them again? This is The Jungle all over again. We should be looking a how these outbreaks happen in order to prevent them from happening again.
Not only that, but my understanding is that to aren't allowed to disobey a TSA lackey's orders. So if she said no, she would have gotten arrested, missed her flight, a $10,000 fine, etc etc.
I find this interesting. We should start a mass campaign to complain about to B&N about all these other books that teach people how to commit the horrible crime of hacking. Maybe they'll remove those too, or more pertinently they'll realize what a dumb move this was.
In fact, faith requires that you refuse to analyze it, because to analyze is to question your faith. That's just what faith is. So the article isn't really flame bait, just stating something that's obvious from the very definitions of the words. Critical thinking and faith are mutually exclusive.
The used market has flourished since time immemorial, probably more so in the past than now. It isn't responsible for the lack of creativity in games. Blame the state of the industry, dominated by risk-adverse mega-corporations like EA that take over or muscle out the plucky independent game studios that used to characterize the industry.
Nevermind, mod me down for being dumb. They shot x-rays at the electron and it did something which they measured. No clue what "split" is supposed to mean.
Relatively short period of time compared to what? We literally have no idea what we're talking about, so how can anyone say whether the time in which life appeared was short or not?
Pan-spermia theories always annoyed me because they seem to violate Occam's Razor and only manage to pass the buck. How did life start on earth? It didn't, it came here from somewhere else!
Further, children don't decide to get themselves vaccinated or not, parents make that decision for them. Should children - to say nothing of other children - have to die for their parents' negligence in refusing to get them vaccinated?
I'm sickened by the pervasive knee-jerk reaction against lawyers I'm seeing in the comments here. The lawyers aren't the problem here. They prosecuted the case for five years, won the case, and still plainly lost money in the pursuit of justice. Greedy? No, you're just being willfully ignorant.
The real problem is the ruling that screwed over the victims and gave Heartland a slap on the wrist. 130 million credit card numbers stolen, 130 million identities stolen! And how much did it cost them? A pittance. And you assholes are complaining abou how greedy the lawyers are?
God forbid you ever need one when your identity is stolen due to your bank's negligence.
No way, those are all also votes for Romney!
Just remember, penile extension ads are votes for Romney, and free credit ads are also votes for Romney.

Now tell me who is the aggressor here.
Yes but most people who upgrade won't realize they are actually losing functionality, and there's no way to go back once you upgrade.

Also, you get App Store visibility.

You have. The Spanish Inquisition, the Salem Witch Trials, et cetera.

1) be filthy rich
2) start your own SuperPAC
Complete those steps and I guarantee your email will get their complete attention.

It sounds like they "split" it on paper, mathematically separating the characteristics so they can do computations with them.
I didn't read beyond the summary though, I came in to the comments section looking for confirmation of my theory from a smarter commenter than myself.
