apple doesn't have the time or resources first off. secondly, they couldn't use that info in a court of law because backdoors in computer software for that purpose is unlawful. as far as ebay is concerned. that's not against the law either. if i were to sell you my old mac on ebay complete with Mac OS 10.4 Tiger that would be perfectly legal cause the license is now ours. What's illegal is if I sell the computer to you with Tiger and continue using that copy myself.

AMEN!.. heck.. i'm willing to pay full retail price of the iphone full well knowing it will most likely be 100-200 over the 500 for the 4gb model. this way no contract.. and if the service sucks too bad. i can just go back to verizon and get a data plan from them. apple's site says we can use any BT modem with the iphone.

Peter Gabriel ....just a stupid blogger? excuse yourself...... Peter Gabriel was the BEST pop artist ever! And this is coming from someone who DESPISES popular music. lemme guess you probably think Phil Collins was the star of Genesis, too! what a loser you are! Gabriel made Genesis popular for Progressive/Rock/Classical all in one. Then the record company started pressuring them on time.... so Lamb Lies down on broadway suffered. then P. Gabriel and S. Hackket left and PHIL COLLINS RUINED THE GREATEST BAND EVER!

they all lied. easy hacks enabled BT use as modem. infact a lot of phones had it turned on by default. and the E815 can do it.there isn't a single carrier out there DOESN'T want users to use phone as modem, they just want people to pay for it. they couldn't control it very well but, they are easily doing so now. they still allow you to connected to a slower network 128kbps which is double dialup actual speeds are 80kbps light usage and you will not get billed.

BTW, Wimacs is WIFI long range, 20-30 miles or so. The key is to bring a connection everywhere. Bring broadband to rural areas, and hopefully cover this entire country so we can all buy WIFI phones and make vonage calls everywhere for 25 bucks a month with Vonage. One day, free broadband for everyone.

  18. THE FACTS ABOUT BROADBAND & VOIP FROM A PRO on Comcast Accused of Blocking VoIP · · Score: 1

i'm a network engineer and lemme tell ya... the technology is not going that way. Fiber and Wimacs are emerging, which will win, who knows. Verizon has already covered most of Tampa with fiber, up to 15-30MBPS. If vonage isn't working with your broadband, it's related to speed. 500kbps DSL connections are just barely there. 1mbps and up will NEVER have a problem call. If so, your provider is blocking ports. See, your vonage box which is a router will keep picking new ports but your service will be VERY MUCH interrupted. Of course they are doing this, no one can prove it. That's why they are doing it. They can stop at any time with no trace.
