Actually, as much as it makes me cringe to give props to Dell, my Dimension 8300 has a swivel out power supply. Too bad the fans are so loud I think its trying to fly out my window. I need to get a quiet case for my next build.
I totally agree, I think that is the main reason he has even voiced an opinion on the issue. I would mod the parent as Insightful, as the Hollywood mafia has certainly tainted a genious in Bram.
Where should I go to start learning.Net programming? I need some good skills as I'm just looking for my first IT job now. Should I turn to the evil Microsoft for training in.Net or elsewhere??
I checked out that site...The table on the page didn't format well at all with firefox. The wall street journal site can't format to accomodate IE AND FF? I wouldn't want to be surfing the net on the crapper and run into a site that I couldn't read with Firefox. By the time I surf back to the same site with crappy IE (pardon the pun), I would be finished and ready to go back to a laptop/desktop where I was supposed to be.
But the Bose accessories are more of an expensive status symbol than a practical way to play your iPod tunes. Why not hook it up to your stereo with a headphone to rca adapter? Actually, the iPod alone is a status symbol too...'look at me!! i'm cool cuz i have a stylish mp3 player!!'
I totally agree...
But, I can see why they are sweating, since bandwidth is only going to get cheaper. Once every Joe Schmo can download a movie from a BitTorrent site at over 1Mbps the idea that release groups will hurt their bottom line will become a reality...
Still, DRM is f'in bull...we need to make them realize we want controll over what we purchase!!!
I think I want to move out of the country (US). Politicians are getting less intelligent by the nanosecond. Don't they have more relevant issues to lobby for? How about showing the redneck parents that videogames are not for friggin 8 year olds anymore? I hate when a parent will buy a game for a little kid, not examine it before letting he/she play it, then blame the producers of the game for ruining their child. only in the us...jeez
We need to realize that China is developing faster and faster because their government is slowly allowing free market business to thrive. If google can get in on the ground floor, they will be sitting on a goldmine down the road when the country will open up more (I wouldnt quite call that evil, just good business practice). Believe me, China is about to explode into every market of the global economy. Unfortunately, its up to the government to decide when to open the floodgates.
I am fresh out of college and looking for a job in IT. I am seriously considering a job with shitty hours (1pm-9:30pm) being the low man on the totem pole because they offer very good education compensation. Hopefully I can either move up to better hours quickly, or get some more training and jump ship to a better paying IT job. We'll see.
Thats a very good point. When pointing fingers at AMD for errors we need to realize their slower clockspeeds don't hinder their performance compared to faster intels. Don't work faster, work more efficiently.
Is this really going to happen? It seems this will only fail miserably...We've all seen the autonomous robot competitions where the robots cant navigate around cones, let alone frisk a transient in the street.
-How will they know Good vs. Evil?
-How will they be powered? Will they be hydrolic? How long will they last on a charge? My cell phone doesnt hold a charge like it used to...
I dont think our human race is ready to program robots for such an undertaking.
Install Firefox, download the Flashblock and Adblock extensions, and you're at least half protected from ADMANIA.

I guess its time to start using French proxies so the **AA thugs can leave me alone!

I thought they were getting rid of the 'inside'. I bet Apple will hate having to put stupid intel stickers on their sleek boxes.
