If you survey 100 people who were mugged once last year about how many times they have been mugged this year and 50% said the same (lets say 1) and 50% said increased to 2, then you would have a 50% increase (from 100 to 150 total) this year. So yeas, these stats can be perfectly valid.
I'm not so sure about this one though. I think there would be major negative effects for Walmart if the average shopper and their kids could not buy the latest Nemo or Tarzan etc in Walmart. It might just make them go WTF and head over to Super Kmart or wherever.
Thats exactly my point though. It was hyped up in the media to a certain expectation, and now since it didn't meet that expectation I am disappointed, regardless of how cheap or a good deal it still is. If my expectation is to have wild hot monkey sex on the first date with some hot chick, and it turns out to be only a good oral sex session, I would be disappointed. If i was expecting nothing, it would have been a great first date.
I am almost disappointed in the Wii price. For so many months now its been 220, 199, 229, that when they announced 250 I was like "That Sucks". Even though its a good deal, and I will get one its kind of a downer. And it has Wii sports even, I know. The damn hype just made me want to spooge at the 199 price that had been speculated.
There is even a class for older people who want to learn how to sign up and use myspace. (its SFW, if watching vids at work wont get you fired and hilarious)
and computers just have simple stuff like billions of little electrons zipping all over the place, and magnets that alter the electromagnetic alignment of particles on a spinning platform going 1000's of RPM and a command system that must control all that movement while not losing any bits in the process. How could a civic be more reliable than that..
Yes, maybe half the companies will be pissed that they are being restricted, but the other half of the companies with the restrictive patents will be living it up and lobbying in their favor. If these patents are struck down in court, companies will not waste the time and money to seek them if the first place.
I er, loan them to people, each person in the fam watches a different one, I commute in NYC on the subway which is 2 hours a day with a portable DVD player and I like to let my dog use them as toys which is why they all look like they do when you get them...
I for one hope Blockbuster wins this hands down. I use Netflix, love the service (6 at a time, one day turnaround and haven't noticed any throttling yet ~35-40 movies month) I tried Blockbusters service and was not thrilled with the selection and turnaround, although not significantly worse just my preference. The shear fact that blockbuster is in the market though is what will keep me happy with Netflix. If Netflix sat as the only one for too long, they would inevitably succumb to greed.
No wonder you cant run it. Your video card is slower than most by a factor of ten. If only you had bought the 6600 you cheap bastard. Not only that, your Athlon is missing a bit. I'm surprised you can boot XP.........
Why not make the hull full of indentations like a golf ball, that way the barnacles would fill in the spaces and make the ship more efficient....
Another big downside: Driving a motorcycle on gravel sucks. Motorcycles are vehicle too!
Didn't they discover the coke bottle too? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080801/
call me when your computer can wear a tight skirt and make me a cup of coffee...
Kudos to you for referring seriously to American Pie 2 during a discussion of films. Well Played.

If I shoot a bullet at a tree for fun, is it wrong. If someone happens to walk in front of the bullet and dies is it worse. Um yes.
I cant wait till the host of that show gets stabbed or shot on air. Its only a matter of time.
One only hopes you were trying for sarcasm because if you are serious the rock you live under must be very nice indeed.

I would guess hundreds of thousands considering the number of huge mufflers and space wings I see glued onto primer gray Honda's..

These tours are also conveniently known as the "tourists who we will beat up and mug" pre-screening process........
