If we didn't have the federal reserve printing money, we would have little to no inflation at all. Look at how stable the value of money was prior to the institution of the fed for example. Also, I don't think either should be responsible for ``controlling'' the economy. We would be better served as a nation and as a world with a free market economy.
What hard money? You actually think banks hold enough gold to back the dollars the federal reserve is printing? Do a search for ``fractional reserve banking'' on google...
Not exactly, but give me a gold backed dollar and then I don't have to lose my money to inflation. Inflation is a tax upon the people and most aren't even aware of it. If we didn't have the Federal reserve, there would be little reason to pay most income taxes. The federal reserve is evil and should be dissovled.
This still doesn't make the Fed any more appealing. It tampers with market forces that it has not business meddling with. It tries to control what in the end it can have no control over. Much like information, the market wants to be free.
I think Star Wars makes a better movie than LotR has. There are just so many details that are left out in LotR that many people watching the film are at a loss. I do believe that LotR is the greatest book trilogy, but the movies lack a lot. I keep hoping that there are 3 more hours per film of cut scenes that Peter Jackson will one day throw in for all the serious fan(atic)s out there.
If I could charge $.01 per spam that I receive and everyone else were to do the same, we could effectively shut down spammers (or at least benefit from receiving spam).
Transfer it regardless of what they do, you will feel much better afterwards. I have already transitioned over 30 domains from Verisign/Netsol to Dotster and will continue to register any new domains there as well. Much better service there and much more clueful.
I don't think he is so far out there. How many of you use google to lookup resources these days? I find it much more convenient to look through a website using google to search on specific terms. Your answer shows lack of insight into the situation.
Maybe it's all the little ``gates'' opening and closing inside the computer as the electrons flow through system. I have created this same noise effect by ping flooding a host in a test lab environment on a 100Mps Full-Duplex switched network---the network card was actually a four port and I may have been pinging all four interfaces from different systems.
http://smarden.org/qconfirm/qconfirm is a implementation of a delivery confirmation process for a mail address. It integrates nicely with qmail and effectively blocks spam.
I think the interface is just fine. It might have a small learning curve at first, but once you understand the layout it is very well designed. Even others that use 3D animation packages professionaly agree.
Maybe if you built your own computers systems the problem would already be fixed and you wouldn't need a ``remote'' desktop. Computers aren't that hard to maintain yourself...
Amen Brother. I don't want to have to use Windows unless I absolutely have to. Currently I can do everything with linux---the only thing missing are a lot of games.
Or rather it shows that they may be getting some kind of sea sickness---imagine rowing across the ocean without any kind of navigation... I suppose if they know how to guide themselves with stars they may be ok.
Just don't walk out in front of me during my viewing of a movie or I may just be tempted to stick my leg out.

The only header that has any relevance or that you can trust is the one printed by your mail server. All other headers are conceivably forged.

This is a classic piece of Danny Kaye humor.

I wonder why they didn't got with the more truly free BSD license.
That URL should be http://smarden.org/qconfirm/

And what have you done for Linux recently?

Sometime it is nice (if not a requirement) to have an ``unrestricted'' mailing list.
Does anyone remember Bard's Tale? Now that was a game worth playing. :-)

Sue them for all their worth; which may not be much in some people's opinions. :-)

How about ``be a friendly webmaster...don't code bloated webpages''?
I've always thought that PGP was a better way to sign software anyway.
