I think this time we should consider the indigenous people of the moon first. They have no land registers and property laws but that does not mean they have no rights to the land! The historical precedence in America and Australia are to bad to repeat.
I think the problem is not that the US is evil more that it is stupid . That the current iranian government is there is a direct result of bad foreign policy. You can pay democracy lip service but if you are not perceived as sincere there is not much point to that.
The US used 2 nukes against Japan and Japan did not own nukes so it is not at all reasonable to assume that the US will not use nuclear weapons except in retaliation. The US they have supported terrorists, death squads, bombing of civilian targets, invasion of foreign countries that were no thread to them. So better stop assuming and look at the facts.
Twitter is probably more of an erlang kind of thing as it is a giant switch for messages . Does not mean that ruby sucks or that erlang is the best for all projects.
This kind of propagandist stories are so tiresome. Just look objectively at the number victims and numbers of refugees the economic situation the military power and there can be no doubt at who are the victims (the Palestinians) and who perpetrators (the Israeli). I think you underestimate the situation the US and therefor the world economy is in. Asia is financing US consumption on a massive scale and that cannot go on. At a given moment the Asians want to enjoy some of their hard earned money them selfs and stop lending their money to the US The financial crisis is just the tip of the iceberg it started because the interest-rates where getting raised because the dollar was plummeting it was just the most risky loans that got in trouble this time but there are a lot more loans that maybe in trouble as the situation worsens and that will be inevitable.
For Microsoft change/innovation is clearly not in it's best interest. How can change be good when you are already on top change is unpredictable and it can only get worse for you. When you observe Microsoft you see that they agree with me on this;-).So killing Microsoft and reintroducing some innovation in the desktop-computer industry is the same thing.
Even if there is no prove which is really to much to ask and unreasonable for a slashdot commend , it is very believable.

To all the people who do not like python's syntax I like to say start indenting your java,ruby,c code for a while and yuo will see that that will improve readability a lot.

No that eye candy is using the GPU not the cpu. The gpu was pretty useless in the past if you did not play games so it leads to a better use of hardware and a lot of visual clues are observed really fast and without much thought so they really do help productivity . How long did you use vista? I was pretty positive so were most of my coworkers. I have not installed it yet I was to busy with other things. The coworkers who installed it and are using it for a while seem to slowly develop a real hate for it . The thing I observe here with the developers is the steady invasion of the macbook pro with boot camp or parallels altho that is a pretty expensive machine so apple is probably the future for us all. My personal linux campaign is so-far only successful in the server department and we do not even install X11 there;-)
The first thing that must change in the US is the taxation and funding of churches. What I find scary is that there is this extremely right wing close to fascist political movement that is having a lot of influence on people that go to very well funded churches often for all kind of reasons but surely not political. Does the leadership of that movement really care about ID or is it just a probe to see how far the influence of their propaganda goes?

The interface makes the difference in a useful tool for a lot of people like the iPhone and an impressive party conversation object like an expensive windows mobile phone. Good luck with summing up all those features and impressive numbers.
Your reaction reminds me of the 80''s reactions to the mac with mouse and overlapping windows menubars. I think that the problem is more that you do not understand what it is all about than that iphone's just glitzy, superficial, overpriced, under-featured. I expect all phones to go in the direction the iPhone has taken.
I think m$ just need to create a new multiplication standard. An ISO standardisation process and some kickbacks is all it takes. I tell you next year we will all be doing multiplication this way.
