I have a DirecTiVo, so I haven't seen any of the newer features they've been unrolling. However, I do get the daily advertisement listed towards the bottom of the main TiVo menu page. I've watched a few of these. In fact, thanks to one of them, I won a Logitech Harmony 880 remote! If they keep the ability to view the ads optional, then I'm fine with it (much like Google ads). However, if they shove them down my throat and make them unavoidable, then I'll think about taking my business elsewhere.
As stated before, this is old news. However, this site is posting some groundbreaking NEW news that affects the world of Apple. Check the date of the article in question...
Pirate 1: Help yourself, mates. A chest full of video discs.
Pirate 2: No!
Pirate 3: What good are they?
Pirate 4: Can't record on 'em.
Pirate 2: They're not compatible with my system.
Our access is becoming more and more universal just as the amount of watchable content on TV becomes less and less.
Says you! Right now I'm using my phone to watch a great program with Chuck Norris talking about the Total Gym. I can't wait to see what happens in the next episode!
Hmmm. Someone named Whiney Mac Fanboy who's unaware of Apple technologies (open source even) that have existed for many many years. Somehow it all makes sense...
I do. However, neither my employer nor the guy who has a long-term contract to develop our website have any idea what web standards are. For them, if it works in IE then it's "standards compliant." Thankfully I've been making progress (in teensy tiny little chunks) with my boss over the past two years...
Exactly! What always amazes me is how people sit there drawing comparisons to the Nixon era, but fail to make the connection that it's because it's the same fucking bunch of people!
All I can say is that it's sad that the Katamari series is dead (for now at least). That's probably the one game where I can really see using the PS3's tilt-controller. Well, that and Monkey Ball.
Not to mention, please find me a Socket A mobo that has a PCI-E slot. What? There are only a handful (none at newegg). And none have the same features that my current mobo has that I use. Suddenly, this "budget" videocard is costing me a new motherboard and processor, plus a handful of PCI cards. No thanks.
Is this because the PCI-E version is cheaper to produce, or is it because pushing newer technologies helps drive sales in other sectors of the tech industry?
In the beginning, there was Pong, and all was good...

Hehehe. I recently rewatched Amazon Women on the Moon. The video pirates skit is classic...

It's clear to us that [quitting] would be the only thing to prevent a full-scale cyber-war that we just don't have the authority to start
Funny, not having the authority to do it didn't stop them before...

As others on the Gearlog site have asked, why did he put a DVD+R in a cake? : p

Blah blah blah. Blah?
Having my hat/umbrella read my mind is always my biggest worry...
Yes, but how exactly will your proposal increase shareholder value?
Just so long as they reintroduce the eMate.
Yes, but Microsoft is immune to the open source type of evil. It has something to do with prior exposure...
What's so bad about people in China running Linux?
Large icons, large space between, damn irresonable spacing between controls.
That's why icon size and icon spacing are fully adjustable. Not sure what you mean by "irresonable spacing between controls" though.
Intel GMA 950 graphics processor with 64MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory
Leave it to Apple to set the trends again. I bet all the other companies are gonna copy them and come out with black laptops now... ; )
There are only a few things infecting my text files--I call them letters, numbers, and words.
Don't worry if this thing deletes them. I've got them backed up for you.

I'm guessing it has something to do with crawling around the locker room on all fours... : p
