I wonder if they will survive a slashdotting.
Some slight FUD in the summary...

Vista Upgrade Matrix
·
· Score: 5, Informative
Some slight FUD in the summary, specifically the line that reads "And if you're not running a 32-bit version Windows XP, there's no upgrade path for you at all."
From TFA: "Note that the requirement for clean installs does not mean that the user is required to purchase a full version of the operating system. XP Pro, XP Pro x64 and Windows 2000 users will still be able to purchase the "upgrade edition" of any version of Vista. They just won't be able to upgrade with their existing files and settings in place."
Of course, personally I would reccomend doing a clean install no matter what version of Windows you currently have, so for me this is a moot point.
P.S. I thought timothy was assigned to Backslash articles! Why is he posting new news (twice today and we've had no backslashes!)? Hopefully he'll be able to summarize the interesting commentary that will no doubt ensue in an upcoming Backslash.
Only if you do not have the TA-082 motherboard. You can check this by opening the UMD slot, holding the PSP facing away from you, and looking into the top right of the open slot. If you see an IC-00013 or something, you have the TA-082 motherboard and are S.O.L. If you don't see this, you should be able to downgrade.
Devhook running on firmware 1.50 will allow you to load firmwares up to 2.71 into memory and then when you turn off and on your PSP you will be beack to 1.50. I am currently working on a howto, it is still under construction but if you want you can check it out at www.devhook.ca (The software is not available there yet, try http://pspupdates.qj.net/ for that )
Sony has again provided nominal updates in their new firmware, in an attempt to entice users to upgrade and lock down the homebrew community.
So now we wait for Dark_aleX to crack this firmware, and for Booster to update Devhook and make the PSP developers "even madder" as users continue to load all versions of the firmware on their 1.50 PSP's.
Now I restrict myself to raiding (Sun/Tues 6:30 thru Midnight and Mon/Wed 7:30 thru Midnight). I feel this is a pretty reasonable compromise.
I am again working full time...
When I quit I had saved up quite a bit of money and I just decided to live off that. Getting back into the work environment was a pretty serindipidious (sp?) event, an old friend called me and had a job opening, and I had decided I had to start working again.
offtopic: i don't understand why I was modded troll. I made a sincere and true comment that was related to the article.
The definition of bluejacking is to send a contact via Bluetooth to another Bluetooth enabled phone often titled something like "you got bluejacked!" or something else to startle the other phone user. It is a harmless activity.
What you described, while in theory a profitable form of malware attack is not bluejacking
With 9 classes instead of 8, it's going to be more difficult to create a well-balanced raid group. I think eventually the paladin will simply phase out the shaman in end-game horde raids.
My favorite is the word "seemingly". I can't even begin to count how many times I've used that word in an essay just in order to cover my ass if I'm wrong.
"I said SEEMINGLY! Of course I knew it wasn't the case..."
slashbacks are great for people without enough time to read through all the irrelevant comments on an irrelevant story - it gathers together the most irrelevant comments and puts them in one irrelevant place for you to read.
If you're not going to read TFA at least read the comments.....

From TFA: The Phantom Lapboard is an innovative peripheral..."
From TFA: The Phantom Lapboard is an innovative peripheral that enables players to control games designed for keyboard and mouse usage with as much agility as they are used to in the office, from the comfort of the couch or easy chair. The Lapboard rotates for left- and right-handed users and also inclines on a 30-degree angle with a hard surface below for the Phantom Mouse. The device is wireless and provides USB and headphone/microphone ports. The Phantom Lapboard interchangeable key-face technology is designed for game-specific and business software applications.

didn't RTFA, but what if your skin is not made of hotdog ?
I will cede the point that my bank cheques are dd/mm/yy. however, I do think it's entirely retarded.
/no one/ in the world uses yyyy-dd-mm so it is impossible to get confused with this method.
Personally I support the yyyy-mm-dd because
I don't think celebrating either will get me any action so...a moot point indeed =)
In Canada, where m/d/y is more common we already experienced this on February 8, March 8 and April 8, respectively.
Life is good living three steps ahead of the taco.
Personally I look forward to the lucky 7's, 7/7/7, a day where CmdrTaco and I can celebrate our slot machine winnings together.
The irony in your typo is delicious

It was actually a mix of workplace burnout and World of Warcraft addiction, but I quit my well-paying job ($70k per annum) to play WoW full time.
That's all well and good, all I was saying is that bluejacking is not bluebugging

Neither article has a picture. Visit http://www.phantom.net/ for that.
