  1. misconceptions... on DVD-Jon Completely Clear · · Score: 1

Speaking of this, about a week after the Copyright Board of Canada declared that it was legal to download music from p2p programs (but not to upload), someone wrote an editorial in all the Sun Media newspapers denouncing internet music theft, though according to even the government now it is not.

  5. laws already cover this on Ohio Also Passes Law Against Recording In Cinema · · Score: 1

People recording movies in a theatre are already covered by existing laws: copyright infringement in particular. An updated law for the "internet age" as politicians like to say, would require that they erase their cam footage when caught. That would be reasonable. Equating this with theft is preposterous---theft would be if they ran into the projector booth, grabbed the film, and ran out.

I should note, this is a fax machine style fax, i.e. document feeder, not the flatbed style that Lexmark's newer models are. This is a home office type product, probably why it performs decently (as opposed to the regular consumer ones that suck ass for ink consumption).

  10. 33.6 kbps on Fax: Technology That Refuses to Die Under Attack · · Score: 1

I have a Lexmark X125 that I got on clearance. Besides being an excellent printer (black and color inkjet), it is also a 33.6 kbps color and b&w fax. It cost $70 Canadian.

Strangely enough, however, there is no pc-to-fax option with it... you must still print out the document (on it) and then scan it in.

Kinetic energy goes up with the square of speed. This is what tears your car apart when you hit something.

    You mentioned 3 speeds, 55, 60, and 75

    55^2/55^2 = 1
    60^2/55^2 = 1.19
    75^2/55^2 = 1.86

So you see, a bit of change in speed does make a difference.
