Have you played it? I knew it was popular, but I never tried it myself until my brother brought his Xbox over with Guitar Hero III. "Ah, so this is that guitar game." And I was hooked INSTANTLY.
I think deep down, a little exhibitionism is part of human nature. Why else is karaoke so popular? Have you been to Japan? They got those bars EVERYWHERE. I love karaoke myself.
My version (2.4.1) lets you turn those icons back on. I choose to keep them off. And the whole resizable text field thing surprised me at first, but I got used to it real fast.
I'm sorry you had to fight it, but really, what percentage of the masses have desktops like yours? RAID array, wireless card, dual-head video card with two screens? I would say it's less than 3%.
Well, a type match IS required, but not in the way you may think of matches.
Blood either has the A protein, B, both (AB), or none (O). Then you either have the rh factor or you don't (+/-). A recipient cannot receive blood with foreign proteins. Although your blood types are different, yours is compatible with his in that he received no foreign proteins: no A nor B plus the rh factor versus A plus the rh factor. If he were to receive blood with the B protein (B+/- or AB +/-), then that'd be bad. Just as if YOU were the recipient of his liver. You'd be receiving the A proteins, which are foreign to your O+ blood.
Someone with O- blood is a universal donor because his blood has no proteins (that cause problems). AB+ is the universal recipient because he has all of them.
I don't share files for moral reasons. Now that isn't absolute: I've given my little sister a handful of MP3s she might like
and my best friend a copy of my Tigarah CD for Christmas. That was after constant pestering on her part and only after she
gave up, looked for it on her site, and couldn't find it. That's pretty much the extent
though, I would say I am very much not a file sharer.
I've refused free media from friends who offered, on the same grounds.
I don't think "decoupling" is the same as "don't ship it with Windows." I don't care if they ship IE with Windows. Just let us uninstall it when we're done downloading Firefox with it. I don't think it's so much that it's the default, but that it's too tightly integrated with the OS.
I've been thinking that we're going about the energy/environmental crisis all wrong. I feel the real problem is that there're too many people on this planet. What about population control? Or simple restraint? As a matter of principle I will not have more than one biological kid with my wife.
They're not advocating elimination of trivia. They're advocating integrating the list items into the main article body. If there's no room, then they're asking for people to think if they should even be there.
Avoid creating lists of miscellaneous facts. A number of articles contain lists of isolated facts, which are often grouped into their own section labeled "Trivia", "Notes" (not to be confused with "Notes" sections which store footnotes), "Facts", "Miscellanea", "Other information", etc. This style guideline deals with the way in which these facts are represented in an article -- not with whether or not the information contained within them is actually trivia, or if trivia belongs in Wikipedia.
Trivia sections should be avoided, but if they must exist, they should in most cases be considered temporary, until a better method of presentation can be determined. Lists of miscellaneous information can be useful for developing a new article, as it sets a low bar for novice contributors to add information without having to keep in mind article organization or presentation -- they can just add a new fact to the list. However, as articles grow, these lists become increasingly disorganized and difficult to read. A better way to organize an article is to provide a logical grouping and ordering of facts that gives an integrated presentation, providing context and smooth transitions, as appropriate in text, list or table.
I really don't get why the overpopulation banner isn't waved more. If we want to lessen our impact on our one planet, instead of chasing pie-in-the-sky energy generation ideas, why doesn't the human race as a whole just stop reproducing like viruses? Fewer people = smaller energy demands and a smaller impact on the environment.
My wife and I will only have one kid as a matter of principle. I feel having more than two children is socially irresponsible. In a developed country, at least. I can understand arguments in favor of the developing ones.

I've had it up to HERE with two point oh. Enough already.

I canceled my Comcast. Both Internet and TV.

Or rather, a woman.
Nope, you're not the only one. I *think* if enough people tag this !onelaptopperblackchild, it'll cancel it out.

I don't know, man. The way they handled the EV1 was less than impressive to me. It'll be a LONG time before GM is back in my good graces.

Well, ships generally belong to one country, don't they? The sticking point here is that different ISS modules belong to different countries.
Did you file a bug?

Well then, how do you explain that?
True, and yet great works of literature convey emotion well without relying on emoticons.
I am extremely judicious with mine. Maybe if we all put a little more thought into our emails they wouldn't be so overused.
Not a troll, but what does NoScript have to do with Java?
I agree with your sentiment. I figure policework must be one of the most thankless jobs out there. Lots of cops are regular guys like everyone else.
My 2003 HCH is stick. But I am distressed that none of the current hybrid sedans come in stick. So I'm holding onto mine as long as I can.
