Creationists believe their God is perfect and unchanging. If he never changed and always existed, how did he at some point decide to make a universe? That's not such an easy thing to answer.
That is not what is meant by "unchanging". The characteristic of "unchanging" is describing the character of God. God's character does not change depending on whether he creates the universe or not. Perhaps he always intended to create the Universe, and finally did it when it pleased Him. We will never know, and it is not really practical to speculate on "how did he at some point decide to make a universe" since "some point" indicates a 'point in time', but 'time' was created by God along with the universe. So, we who live in the time and universe created by God are trying to understand matters that exist outside of our time and this universe; something that is arguably beyond the scope of our understanding.
I thought that code under GPL cannot be taken out of being GPL. IMHO, even if you post in on Microsoft's site, as long as you put the notice saying it is GPL code, Microsoft cannot use it as their proprietary code. (Of course, IANAL).
A summary is actually good for historical purposes. If someone is reading this article for some research 20 years down the line, it would help to have a brief summary in the article itself to tie into the general context of the time.
I have been seeing this more and more on Slashdot lately. Perfectly valid comments, which used to modded Insightful, are now being modded either Offtopic or Troll. The problem has become worse in the last couple of weeks.
Parent is funny (referring to summary which indicates that it was the radar that moved the 154 pound meteorite). So... ummm.... why was it modded "interesting" ??
I have heard that 2.4 kernel is better for older computer systems while 2.6 is better for the new systems. Thus, it might be that Slackware folks decided that their distribution was installed on more older computer systems than on newer ones. I, for one, am definitely glad they stuck with the 2.4 kernel because I have a really old system (100MHz cpu) and I have Slackware installed on it and use it as a file-server. This means I can upgrade to Slackware 11.0 without worrying about the effects of 2.6 kernel on my old system.
Only because that is beyond their means. It would take more money and effort than they can afford. If they had means for it, and if they hated their enemies enough, they would do it. You can think of several methods of doing this very easily and in a very cheap and efficient manner, but when it comes down to implementing it, things can get rather complicated.
Terrorists do not attack and kill 3000 people simply because they don't like the people's attitude. They attack because they hate the people and want them destroyed. A group of people who have the resolve to carry out a terrorist attack would not be expending so much effort, energy, and money simply based on the attitude of their intended victims. The cause of hatred is far more deep-rooted than just an attitude.
Whoever modded the comment insightful needs a reality check (or a better understanding of terrorists).
But what being ticked off at someone's attitude does is make you happy when the other party is attacked by terrorists. It doesn't make you actually commit a terrorist act.
Not sure if you have seen an Airdesk (http://airdesks.com/). It helped me in the sense that I can lean back on my chair now and bring the laptop to me. I imagine you can simply keep your keyboard where I keep my laptop. They also have an Airdesk specifically for desktops, but I do not have any experience with that. Hope it helps.
The actual press-release on Yahoo! Finance states "Go Daddy® will have moved all its parked domains from Linux to the Windows platform." That does not include domain servers or name servers. If my understanding is correct, parked domains are on one set of servers, while all the other services are being provided from other sets of servers. Thus, I think you were told the truth by the GoDaddy folks, and Microsoft is also telling the correct story, although the heading of the Press Release makes the news sound bigger than it really is.
Even though this tool is not supposed to be accurate over long-term, try May 3, 2032. Both May 3, 2032 and May 4, 2032 has the two objects superimposed (colliding).
You should have stopped at "'Nuff said".
Mod parent up!! This is a very important benefit.

Just my $0.02.
How can this be moderated as a "Troll" - that makes no sense.

Parent is a very important point. Somebody please mod it up.
Actually, I meant to reply to post by LocalH
goodness!! read the original posting by your post's parent - the very first post... and then understand what he/she is really saying.

The person who wrote the Newsforge article, and whoever submitted this story to Slashdot is out of the loop, according to PJ of Groklaw. Here's the latest at GrokLaw on how FOSS and Disabled Communities are NOT of touch. Instead, FOSS is working with the disabled communities to provide a solution.
