Paperwork requirements? All you have to do is throw the UPC and the rebate receipt into an envolope and mail it on its way. The only complaint I have is that it takes forever to get your money in the mail.
Forums crash occasionally with backups months in the past, and usually require a complete restart. Worse comes to worse, just have all the backups/logs on one server, so when it crashed EVERYTHING goes. No wasted space, no government logs, no blame, just another ignorant admin.
Yahoo spam filter is not that great. I use my account for everything I sign up for since I know that my email addresses will get sold out by sites anyways. Looking right now I have 1310 spam in my yahoo junk mail folder, and usually get 10-20 in my inbox every few days. No matter where you go you will always get spam.
That would be solved if teachers walked around the room to make sure their students are not cheating instead of vegetating in the front of the classroom. At least thats what the GOOD teachers do.
I don't play FF, but personally like any game to be able played in a window. I have a habbit of doing many things at once, and pressing alt-tab usually bogs the computer down and does not make an instant switch. If I want to chat with friends that are not in game, or look something up, I want to be able to see all my programs at once, regardless what the game wants.
Thats nice to be able to have two different cards. But even if we DID have that here... That does not change the fact that the library computers are locked down. You can't just slide your library card into a computer card reading slot for unrestricted access. The librarians themselves can't even get around the filters.
I go to Lawrence Technological University, and they have a Laptop Initiative. They have two sets of computer types: a compaq laptop for architect/sciences and a micron laptop for the engineers. Each Major type has their own 'Laptop Image' that loads the computer with the OS and programs. Since all the computers are the same they just image everything in the labs and hand them out to the students. Then the student is free to do what they wish with the computers. They have no locks on them what-so-ever.
The programs on the computers are registered like corporations, and some of them require you to be on campus to use them (Matlab) because they have to contact the campus servers. As for upgrades, its up to the student. However, every two years the computers are returned to the help desk for the next set of images to be loaded. And if you bork your computer, you can just go down there and have them re-image it for you. Any physical damages have to be paid for though.
You don't have to use a campus issued computer. If you have your own you can use it on their network, but will not be pre-registered on the domain or given any programs/support.
The laptop initiative is very useful because it allows students and faculity to contact each other when ever needed. Our whole school is wireless with printers throughout the buildings, so presentations and class work can be done on them.
Well I guess I have just been fortunate with my rebates.

That should apply to school as well. They want to see your cell phone, refuse and leave the school. Students would like that :P
Change that "public" to "private".
That is very stupid. Walmart is public property, if I go there to shop they have the right to search my wallet? Screw that!

So if you don't want to get pulled over, you just turn off the cops? Sounds like a plan!

Also, sitting down to watch a crappy bootleg movie is a bit less romantic for the significant other than going to the actual theater.
Win-Win

Yeah, we would build The Great Universe Gun. Unraveling reality since it invented time.
I could go for that, just tell me how :P
And where do you live? We don't have that here... :(
This is true.

You mean some people believe it isn't? :P
Thats how America is SUPPOSED to be... IMO the government and corporations are taking all the power away from the citizens.
