This entire hairball can be summed up, by one statement: "government should not be dictating, how to price labor." Socialism and control (yes, even semi-controlled) markets inevitably FAIL to achieve the desired objective. However, that's never stopped a progressive from trying again and again and again... of course, expecting a different result.

If you had done one 1000th of the shit that Hillary and Huma had done, do you have ANY DOUBT that you wouldn't be pounds rocks into gravel, in Leavenworth? Go eff yourselves, liberal monkeys. Amazing that any non-progressive voice on Slashdot gets voted down, as flamebait.

For me, I've been in the Internet business since before most of you had graduated from middle school. And the Net was fine with light-touch regulation, all the while. But suddenly, we get a heavy handed liberal progressive in the White House and the light shines upon the problem and NOW we need to regulate and control everything.... including what you can say and write??? Yeah, that was the next foot-fall, regulation of "equal speech".

My personal belief is that the free market finds a way to convey services that are in-demand and perceived as having value, from the consumers perspective. Look at all of the examples (e.g. the music industry fought digital music and streaming, VoIP, on-demand TV, etc. etc.)

As a firefighter, we are taught "Forcible Entry", because we may show up to a burning house and the homeowner may be able to answer the door. The first words out of the instructors mouth, Day 1, "locks keep honest people honest." Simple and profound.

Seems like the front door to your house and the front door to your phone are only as safe, as the moral society in which you live allows.
