Honestly, ever since Centrino, I wouldn't skip an Intel chip on a lappy - they are worth the Intel tax. At least now you get your money's worth with intel.
Well, the parumutaions change depending on whether or not the program displays that you are correct with the first password. Cracking a 16 digit password would square the time it took to crack, where two eight digit passwords separatly would simply double it.
I agree- at least they went somewhere. Ubuntu could really learn something from this. It is very easy to use, yes, but would items like mp3 support out of the box hurt them? Sure, to a current linux user who has tons of.oggs, it makes sense, who needs mp3. But to a new Joe-schmoe convert with gigs of mp3s, having to figure it out is going to be a tough first day when he wants some tunes to listen to as he downloads his nvidia driver.
I hate being tech support for the family... especially the ones that 'think they are pretty good with computers'.
My step mom, after telling me that she didn't know what my father did to the computer, because he's 'not very good', proceeded to tell me that she was having problems 'downloading the program from the upload on the cd'. She simply couldn't copy her word file.
I, uh, don't think you used 'touche' correctly. You see, you need to counter my point first.
I said that Moz was happy, even though they were in second place. MS is clearly happy and wealthy due to their dominance. However, IE7 is slated to be very Moz-esque due to the increased competition - proof that MS had its feathers ruffled.
Lets try this again, shall we?
You:But we live in a "second place is first loser" society.
Me:Tell that to those guys over at Mozilla. They seem to be pretty thrilled about the percentage they took back from MS.
I do get your point, but I think it still does not explain the hyperbole. Although it *could* end YouTube, chances are that it will simply compete with YouTube and people will be just as likely to FW:OMG YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS HILARIOUZ!!!!!! a video from YouTube or this place or google.
Calling a yet to mature product a ________-killer is simply thinly veiled fanboyism, and I think/. can do better.
Can we stop using the phrase ______-killer? A product can have weight on its own merit, and some companies to coexist even if there is a clear top dog (google, anyone?).
I can only assume that all of their programmers use Firefox like civilized people... maybe that accounts for the Google access, since it is 'built in' to the FF main bar. Perhaps Microsoft should sue over anti-competitive practices due to software/service bundling.
I say we help those who want to learn, no matter where they are. America is the only place I know of where the general population prides themselves on ignorance and being a 'common man'.

Dude, don't give them any ideas! I am rebuilding next month...

These are land based sharks... its kinda like SCUBA, but in reverse...
They also put on the most energetic and fun concert I have ever been to.
You know, in Alaska, they have a joke about how one is goes about hunting Polar Bears.... 'just go out there, they will find you.'
You don't *have* to buy from them. They *have* to serve the stock holders.

Suffice to say, aneurisms hurt.
I imagine that this would certainly be a beowulf cluster.
I'll send you a sixer of your favorite beer (under $20) if you can figure out the pinochle cards.
It was a pop-culture joke, from the hip Mac verses square PC commercials. Its been mentioned on /. enough to be considered a temporary meme.

Don't knock it... it was #1 for 90 years running. Thats a little stronger than the Minidisk...
But they make for damn good slashvertisements....

Or, simply the glee of the shady Russians that run AllOfMP3.com...
So is Halo x.
(oblig.) Me fail English, that's unpossible.

What ever happened to wanting to be the best?
I think we could use a program to do the moderation around here...
Sring[] validTargets = {"Bill Gates","George Bush","Dvorack","DRM",...}
if(insult : validTargets){
user.karma++;
}
the article goes on to discuss and compare Microsoft's new security offering, Windows Live OneCare.
Last time I checked, the compare method took two arguments...
