I agree, I have always wanted to make maps of places I've seen and operated in the military because they would make awesome Quake Mod maps but the issue is that even if the map didn't look anything like the place it is name after in form or function, just naming it after a checkpoint or a building would raise concerns of OPSEC. So until we pull out of Iraq, the Iraq maps will wait... I do not think the kid should have been arrested at all. He should have been praised and put into Honors Program :)

I would like to know who this hosting company is just in case I am using them.

Based on the available facts: This is bad leadership and decision making at its finest. I feel sorry for the other employees still there that catch wind of this. Sounds like a dictatorship and this type of practice is unacceptable in this day and age, for many reasons.

This is very identical to indentured servitude. Now the employee fears quitting for a better job elsewhere in case he might be sued for seeking a better life, liberty or happiness elsewhere? WTF! I am livid... This is a domestic enemy, the former employer should be sued themselves for undue stress, trauma and whatever else you can think of. I do not serve in the military to protect tyrannical businessmen truly putting employees under their thumb.

Who is this employer? I smell a boycott in the works.

  19. Re:Tailgating on Detecting Tailgaters With Lasers · · Score: 2, Insightful

Jerk, the PRIME reason you are being tailgated is because you are driving slower than them. Reasons to tailgate: --You are too slow in the fast lane (slower traffic keep right) --You are directly responsible for not allowing them to pass (rolling roadblock) --You pulled out in front of them and did not accelerate reasonably (you cut them off!) --You changed lanes in front of them without checking THEIR speed, and for no apparent reason --You are talking on your cellphone or to your passenger and have no idea what you are doing. It is not about CONTROL people, everyone wants to get to where they want to go, so just let them pass, give them some room, it's not that hard. Also do not do the +/-mph thing, use a steady rate of speed, it makes you more predictable and safer to be around. Also I live in AZ, first time I've heard of this and it is ridiculous. We have 'snow birds' here. Retirees that come here in the winter from the colder weather and our traffic is fcked up for months, it is very irritating especially when they do anything in the list above.
