That the govt recognizes bitcoin as a viable currency?
Everyone knows that Silk Road was just a complex game, like a more involved version of that old text based drug dealer game.
of your a$$. This is Asus' pricing, not Microsoft. If you RTFA you would see that the linked source is also incorrectly stating this is Microsoft's pricing. ASUS =/= Microsoft.
damn fan boys
...ask a question, doesn't mean you should.
I'd like to thank the submitter for putting this idea into the minds of every ill-meaning...
Stop giving bad people bad ideas!
I should have linked to this in the submission, but here is the paper http://arxiv.org/pdf/1207.6872v1.pdf
From their abstract:
"entangled states require less measurement cost
because we can perform feedback control without decreasing the entropy of the system, and hence
the memory does not need entropy production to compensate for the feedback gain."
I have a buddy in Canada that solves these problems for all kinds of people. He uses high speed towers and line of site. You can probably get something setup between you and your neighbors pitching in. The speed should be very reasonable.
I agree, I have always wanted to make maps of places I've seen and operated in the military because they would make awesome Quake Mod maps but the issue is that even if the map didn't look anything like the place it is name after in form or function, just naming it after a checkpoint or a building would raise concerns of OPSEC. So until we pull out of Iraq, the Iraq maps will wait...
I do not think the kid should have been arrested at all. He should have been praised and put into Honors Program:)
I would like to know who this hosting company is just in case I am using them.
Based on the available facts: This is bad leadership and decision making at its finest. I feel sorry for the other employees still there that catch wind of this. Sounds like a dictatorship and this type of practice is unacceptable in this day and age, for many reasons.
This is very identical to indentured servitude. Now the employee fears quitting for a better job elsewhere in case he might be sued for seeking a better life, liberty or happiness elsewhere? WTF! I am livid... This is a domestic enemy, the former employer should be sued themselves for undue stress, trauma and whatever else you can think of. I do not serve in the military to protect tyrannical businessmen truly putting employees under their thumb.
Who is this employer? I smell a boycott in the works.
I'm fairly certain this will be turned around and allow someone to broadcast a "buy" wave into a store.
Now if we peeons could mass together and develop some sort of "pay wave" (trademarked by me) we could all be better off.
Jerk,
the PRIME reason you are being tailgated is because you are driving slower than them.
Reasons to tailgate:
--You are too slow in the fast lane (slower traffic keep right)
--You are directly responsible for not allowing them to pass (rolling roadblock)
--You pulled out in front of them and did not accelerate reasonably (you cut them off!)
--You changed lanes in front of them without checking THEIR speed, and for no apparent reason
--You are talking on your cellphone or to your passenger and have no idea what you are doing.
It is not about CONTROL people, everyone wants to get to where they want to go, so just let them pass, give them some room, it's not that hard. Also do not do the +/-mph thing, use a steady rate of speed, it makes you more predictable and safer to be around.
Also I live in AZ, first time I've heard of this and it is ridiculous. We have 'snow birds' here. Retirees that come here in the winter from the colder weather and our traffic is fcked up for months, it is very irritating especially when they do anything in the list above.
I made two working telephones completely from scratch, the coolest part were the microphones:
they were essentially the bottoms of paper dixie cups, I crammed powdered coal into them with electrodes at each end and taped them up. Ran a current into them. As you spoke, the sound waves compressed the carbon allowing the current to run faster or slower through the carbon.
Worked great. Wasn't too sensitive so it didn't pick up whispers and stuff.

true, but if a call came in the caller's photo id could be superimposed onto a game element, like, let's say, the bad guy's face?

I don't want anyone else hearing about this so I can keep it for myself.

Hey I love Slashdot and all, but why are you linking to another news site and not Intel's,
so we can all turn out like baked taters?

this could have happened a few times since we fell out of the trees.
on the other hand, the decay of the effect of our presence seems logarithmic.
Not an expert here, but what if the video card was inside the monitor? what would the data rate look like then?
and post a few days later on stock news...
