Nowhere does the "material that accompanied the Wii console" state that you should let go of the Wiimote while playing. So, technically, the people that throw the damn thing are not following instructions very well. I say they deserve whatever they get for their stupidity.
That's ridiculous. I'm running an old-as-hell Athlon XP 1500+ with 1GB RAM and welcome screen to ready desktop is 5 to 10 seconds max. You must have over ten programs starting up when you log in.
Practically identical to PC hardware but much more costly, which is exactly why I stick to PCs, especially now that you can run OSX on just about any PC.
The reason most software companies don't port games to mac is because the audience is so much smaller it's just not worth their time and money.
That's why you get Thunderbird, and don't empty your trash on exit. I have emails dating at least 2 years back in my trash, and I've had to go back as far as year-old emails looking for links and other stuff. Doesn't take up space on a server, and barely takes up space on your computer. Simple.
No company is going to have you writing code with no experience/education
You shouldn't say that without any first-hand experience. I'm 17, got hired at 16 as a Javascript and PHP programmer and get a 1099 at the end of every year. Working for a company now, and had a contract with a different company before.
To the author: I suggest you browse craigslist for people needing you to write a small bit of code for a small price. Then just deliver the product and get your money, and they won't know your age. As long as you act professionally and know what you're doing, I think someone out there will be willing to hire you just like someone hired me. Let me know if you need me to elaborate on something. Good luck!
If you're going to open your mouth please make sure what you say at least makes sense. That being said, can you please explain how exactly the lie detector forces people to tell the truth? Last time I checked, they can say whatever they want, even when strapped to the machine.
On the other hand, isn't there a law in US that prohibits saying "the president sucks" under threat of imprisonment as a terrorist?
No, there isn't. You are protected by the 1st Amendment to state your opinion. If you are a journalist and make such a claim, you must be able to back it up with evidence in order for it to not be considered libel. Saying that, however, wouldn't classify you as a terrorist in either case.
Yes, but Hitler was trying to exterminate Jews, who were completely innocent. On the other hand, Bush is going after terrorists who have murdered countless numbers of people. I don't see how anyone in their right mind can compare Hitler to anyone.
If you'd read the article you linked to it talks about The Daily Show vs. The Tonight Show and The Late Show. I wouldn't call either of those network news.
The parent comment was talking about child porn on the internet, not someone spanking their kid. And Google leads people to find these pictures online, so them giving up information might in fact help stop the problem.
What if the person is using SkypeOut or SkypeIn, isn't that fairly anonymous? If it requires credit card payment, I'm sure these people already have plenty of stolen numbers to use.
People will just start sniping in the last seconds of the extra 10 minutes then. And if you propose to add another 10 minutes on, the auction might never end. It would be tough to balance a system like this.
98% is the correct number - Flash player is the most installed plugin out there, so if you're deciding what to use to play videos, this seems like a clear choice. Here's a link to Macromedia's stat page: http://www.macromedia.com/software/player_census/f lashplayer/.

Gmail vs Pine
·
· Score: 5, Interesting
I can access Pine from my phone. And my PSP. And my Palm. And my old Amiga. And my Mac. My old 64k OS9/6809 system. And my various other old systems that don't support Java and other client-side technologies. And any *nix system on the planet. I look forward to being able to check my email from my PS3, when they finally get it out the door. All I need is a telnet or (preferably) secure shell, and as they're saying it is linux based.... done deal, probably. I have a dial-up connection on my linux machine that allows me to log in from the oldest, lamest modem I am ever likely to run into. And yes, from there... I can run Pine.
GMail only uses javascript (supported by any browser that wants to have more than 1 person download it) for the client-side code.
The lite version doesn't even use that. It's pure HTML, maybe a little bit of basic js that won't change the way it works.
Most, or even all, of the devices you mentioned have a browser already on them which can in fact access gmail.
They should patent winning so many patents in a year as to set a record, and then sue anyone who dares to cross them.
Get a life....

... but what's stopping us from just burning it to a regular one?
I've tried the Beta, and let me tell you, they've conveniently made half of those features next to impossible to find in their stupid new toolbar.
Google aquires former Microsoft developers Mark Russinovich and Bryce Cogswell

Nope, craigslist isn't a public company meaning they have no stock. It's not possible for eBay to have a stake in them.
