Check out 2005--"410 slots, followed by KDE, FreeBSD, and 38 other mentoring organizations. The accepted applications will be posted early next week. More than 8700 applications have been submitted."
Look, just don't bother. I'll be entering and don't want more competition. Post-singularity we can all program all we want, but there's too much competition world-wide now.
Movies for a long time as film are actually four or so times better than even upcoming blurays. So just convert them from way back and sell the same damn movie for a higher price and watch money pour in!
Wait until they hear about HD audio. Well, SACD crapped out so that scam didn't work.
There are fundamental limits to speed, but not to multiple cores (well, quarks in the universe maybe). The speed race was due to laziness in writing multithreaded applications.
The ones in Full Auto was a static bush. Explosion sprites are less obvious, but it'd be nice to have them completely gone. I'll take the flat polygons over the sprites.
I was just floored to see a sprite in an Xbox360-only game (Full Auto). Don't think I've seen them in the unreal series though.
Well this eunuch's game playing went a bit up

I found kiddie games like the GC paper mario 1000 year door to be perhaps a bit more interesting after the operation. Mighta passed that over for GTA before.
An ASIC will always outperform a general purpose thread-based multi-core processor. We're still stuck with x86, even! Magnetic transistors offers the flexibility necessary to imagine a morphable chip that could beat the ASIC, but that's a ways off.
Head trauma, splattering on the dashboard, and flying into trees. Only by replacing our fragile structure will we have truly safe experiences with these add-ons.
Why put emotion into it? It's pretty simple. People will use it. If you don't you'll get thrown into an airplane. Therefore, better get it implanted. Dead people don't mull over ethics.
Uh no. This is a big deal, and sometimes I wonder why everyone in the world doesn't work together for it. It's nice to be enthusiastic, but this is a big project. If you do really want to help it along, start a transhumanist chapter of the World Transhumanist Organization. Oh, and the singularity institute (singinst.org) is hiring after netting $200k in fundraising.
Usually in the disguise of making the "disabled" "normal". I think a good amount of focus is in actually getting ethics into place before the inevitable singularity. Are you just being pessemistic in the sense that you want it to happen? Just wait a few more decades.
We'll be beyond DNA quite soon. Kurzweil may have been a bit optimistic on timelines for brain-machine integration, but he's been quite right before. I give it 64 years or so.
Remember, it's AIFF -> AAC -> AIFF -> AAC. The first AIFF is the original, and the second AIFF has lost some of the information. Keep doing it and you probably end up with a concert A sine wave:) .
The former CEO of paypal just dropped a $100k matching challenge to the singularity challenge. Transcend humanity first, then the stars are nothing in comparison. Why terraform for oxygen when you can run on antimatter?
Haven't had the same finger pain on the black and white (both versions). It's way out of line for any purpose really. I don't want to hurt while playing a dang video game.

It'll be either "playing god" or ending the life of some mass of atoms destined to become Christian.

We'll all be customizable, and looking one particular way will take no more work.
Looks matter in the business world. Maybe they won't after the singularity, but they do now.

Because those answers are more obviously untrue.

Meaning all of us. I hope we start abandoning our evolved bodies soon. What we'll become will make what we are now seem quite disabled.
Until the Singularity, I consider all of us quite disabled. What is this ultra-low bandwidth interface known as the "keyboard" doing around?

That is an apt label.
Thanks to Peter Thiel (former CEO) for supporting the singularity challenge. Check singinst.org.

Is that "Z" in the worst position possible or what?
