I take it you never had to develop using ME. That piece of binary compost had a "feature" that would cause any window to crash when it's menu bar was touched by the cursor after running a debug program. One of my co-workers had to reboot up to 20 times a day until we found a workaround.
That is nothing more than pure bullshit spewed by the Rush bunch in a pathetic attempt to somehow place the blame on everyone but the responsible parties. Please turn off Fox and get a clue before you insult us again.
Our product managers used to cal the contents of our product packaging a "Bill Of Materials" Unfortunately, referring to BOM's while traveling is not a good thing.
You're lucky you didn't experience the joy of a cap put on half way. I finally bought my own ODB scanner to tell if that's why my check engine light was on.
I agree.
I once wrote an Easter egg that displayed all of the names of the programmers in a scrolling display. It was an entirely isolated module that required a specific sequence of steps to activate.
Not only did management approve, but they filed a change request when we hired additional engineers whose names needed to be added.
They've been able to project adds on the walls behind the catcher in baseball for some time now. Unfortunately, I'm not interested in the sport enough to know of any actual examples.
They have one of those stores around here also. While the back wall has a lot of unique pieces, they always seem to be a little lacking on the more common ones. When one box is filled with door frames, other with doors, and yet another with little plastic flowers, there just isn't much room for square bricks.
They have been outsourcing many of the jobs done in law firms for years. You just have to train them in the laws of the country they will be working for. About the only thing that they can't outsource are the lawyers who have to actually appear in court.
Strangely enough, a lot of these closeout companies bring in merchandise from other sources. If you buy something at a closeout sale, there is actually a chance that none of the remaining stores have ever carried it.
It also allows the closeout company to rip people off. We had a somewhat high end furniture store here go out of business. The closeout group brought in cheaply made crap with artificially inflated prices that they could then mark down as a good deal. If you didn't practically disassemble things before you bought them, it was easy to get screwed.
Until transporter technology moves from the pages of science fiction and into the real world, there will always be times where it is better to drive to a know nothing store than to wait 1-5 days for something.
And if I'm opposed to slavery, I imagine you response is simply to not own any, but don't say anything to offend those that do. My wallet is currently being raided to pay for the greed and moral bankruptcy of your friends. As long as such ethically lacking individuals continue to wreck the lives of others, it is the duty of those others to reign them in. Just because you've deluded yourself into thinking you'll be one of the screwers instead of the screwed doesn't mean you will come out on the right side, and I really don't feel like having to bail out any additional Darwin candidates.
You forgot to add the part where the board is usually composed of other CEO's and friends of the CEO, who happens, strangely enough, to be on the boards of these other CEO's companies. I personally wouldn't mind it so much that these guys were allowed to have their friends choose their salaries if the people who actually do the work had the same luxury.
You mean the state right to allow people to own other people don't you? Stop trying to sugar coat it with manure. It doesn't work.

I don't know about this. It seems like prison would be a good way to get out of the house.
I call B.S. No way would a Harbor freight ax last 1.8 million years. 1.8 days maybe?

I thought meat was under the department of agriculture.
Give it a shot. Just pick up your phone and ask them when you hear the dial tone.
Most companies have 360 reviews. why should the military be any different?
I take it you're new to the industry?
Being smarter than other people actually seems to be a disadvantage in management. Thinking you are smarter seems to be a prerequisite, however.

Actually, we allow triple trailers. Somehow they were able to convince the gullible that double trailers would cost jobs.
You're lucky you didn't experience the joy of a cap put on half way. I finally bought my own ODB scanner to tell if that's why my check engine light was on.
Does this definition of human include spammers?
How about when dueling was allowed?
