Once you've "grown" the connection between the nervous system and the "electrical" part, why can't the rest of it be modular and easy to plug in and out as needs come up.
Have an arm/hand for fine delicate precision work, have a different one for playing racquetball, have another for heavy lifting, etc. while the actual interface part always stays the same.
I find this very interesting... for as long as I can remember I wake up in the middle of the night, usually around 2-3 am and lay awake for a while before going back to sleep (with differing amounts of success). Maybe now there's an actual reason or explanation why?
I doubt our will has anything to do with it. They can always just tack on the junk that didn't go through this time on some spending bill for homeless shelters and kittens.
[sarcasm]You wouldn't vote against kittens would you?[/sarcasm]
I've got a better idea, how about Congress gives every active user of/. a measly $50,000 or so and we all go buy ourselves a shiny terrorist-repelling rock. It would probably be just as effective.
Really? Because the day the announcement came out Steam itself put up a big giant announcement/apology from Gabe Newell as soon as I logged into Steam.
By a sniper rifle.
This man and his cohorts are enemies of the United States and should be treated accordingly.
This is one of the saddest comments I've ever seen on Slashdot while I've been here. What kind of world does the parent live in where anyone who disagrees with people in power should be murdered?
One of the entire points of the United States and democracies/republics/non-dictatorships in general is in the rule of law, and not just arbitrary death for "enemies of the state."
I'm pretty sure the Senate will ratify whatever their corporate overlords tell them to. And I don't care if previous texts were much worse....that doesn't change the fact that ACTA sucks.
Ok Mr Anonymous Coward,
I'll admit I'm not old enough to remember when Peres, Arafat, or Rabin won it.
I merely expressed that I felt that Obama had not done anything of note to warrant such an "honor."
Pardon me if I don't feel President Obama has done anything in his service of the USA to deserve it. If you feel he has, well than we can agree to disagree.
I remember the same thing...the Peace Prize was for someone that brought an end to conflicts, years of diplomacy and work around the world. My thoughts when I saw the news on TV this morning that Obama had won the Nobel Peace Prize was "What the hell for?!?!!"
The US Constitution lays out what the US GOVERNMENT's "PRIVILEGES" are, not our RIGHTS as citizens. Anything not laid out in the Constitution (in theory) is something that the government CAN'T do. Sadly too many people have it backwards.

Could it be that there's more money and less stress in going into a different career than science/engineering? Who would have thought?
Nobody knows how to clone the machine for this totally abandoned software that is moments away from dooming them entirely? Hmmm....

I feel that this could be it for ACTA in Europe for the time being, because this kind of thing is actually taken seriously in Europe.
However I have a feeling that those of us in the US will have to worry about ACTA 2.0, 3.0, etc for quite a while.
Around these parts, everyone gets amoxicillin for sinus infections from what I can tell.
My thanks go out to the Polish people that are making enough of a stink about this that their government had to (maybe) reconsider.
Once again, remember to neuter/spay your pets today, and help combat rampant feline self-copying piracy!!!

Signed your petition, and as sibling posts have pointed out..absolutely HORRIBLE site, it took 3 tries to actually get logged in once I registered.
Because the heavier the element being fused, the more energy it takes to actually fuse them together.
You know what's really to blame here? The English language.
How dare schools teach such a dangerous communication tool that lets these criminals and hooligans do such nefarious acts!?!!?
We must halt this terrifying communication at the source. Only when everyone is reduced to pointing and grunting will we be safe!!!!
I saw this on a laptop this week, and it was laughably easy to get rid of (under 5 minutes)
Compared with the kind of stuff targeting PCs, this is/was a joke.

Just about anyone would be better buying it than Facebook IMHO.

Actually my first thought was it was the ring on the bathtub that Saturn would be able to float in.....
Agreed. Combofix followed up by MBAM has gotten rid of every fake AV I've seen.
sorry, haven't been able to convince mom & dad to hook up a shower in the basement yet
