    Once you've "grown" the connection between the nervous system and the "electrical" part, why can't the rest of it be modular and easy to plug in and out as needs come up.

    Have an arm/hand for fine delicate precision work, have a different one for playing racquetball, have another for heavy lifting, etc. while the actual interface part always stays the same.

    I find this very interesting... for as long as I can remember I wake up in the middle of the night, usually around 2-3 am and lay awake for a while before going back to sleep (with differing amounts of success). Maybe now there's an actual reason or explanation why?

    I feel that this could be it for ACTA in Europe for the time being, because this kind of thing is actually taken seriously in Europe.

    However I have a feeling that those of us in the US will have to worry about ACTA 2.0, 3.0, etc for quite a while.

    This is one of the saddest comments I've ever seen on Slashdot while I've been here. What kind of world does the parent live in where anyone who disagrees with people in power should be murdered?

    One of the entire points of the United States and democracies/republics/non-dictatorships in general is in the rule of law, and not just arbitrary death for "enemies of the state."

    Ok Mr Anonymous Coward, I'll admit I'm not old enough to remember when Peres, Arafat, or Rabin won it.

    I merely expressed that I felt that Obama had not done anything of note to warrant such an "honor."

    Pardon me if I don't feel President Obama has done anything in his service of the USA to deserve it. If you feel he has, well than we can agree to disagree.

    I remember the same thing...the Peace Prize was for someone that brought an end to conflicts, years of diplomacy and work around the world. My thoughts when I saw the news on TV this morning that Obama had won the Nobel Peace Prize was "What the hell for?!?!!"

    The US Constitution lays out what the US GOVERNMENT's "PRIVILEGES" are, not our RIGHTS as citizens. Anything not laid out in the Constitution (in theory) is something that the government CAN'T do. Sadly too many people have it backwards.
