    not exactly. the federal grants are not earmarked for meals on wheels, they are general fund that states can and do use on meals on wheels all in all 250K of it is a joke in the scheme of things and this really should be a non issue

    meals on wheels is state funded, not federally funded. as such he cant cut it.

    That means without financial aid, the sticker price of a four-year college degree for children born today could reach half a million dollars at private schools, and a quarter million at public ones. That's for a family with one kid; those with more could be facing a bill that reaches seven figures.

    This writer comes to the wrong conclusion. the rise in costs is related to the financial aid given.

    the more money the state guarantees that colleges will get paid (regardless on if its students are successful or drop out) is what causes the costs to rise.

    the solution is not even more money from the state (and the people via taxes) but to get the government out of it completely and allow the market to self correct

    I would argue if these UBER drivers you are talking about are unhappy, as independent contractors they can simply find other work.

    maybe the reason they complain about it is because they are trying to make fulltime pay doing a job that was never intended to be a fulltime thing???

    The US is among the smallest donors of foreign aid as a percent of GDP among wealthy countries

    the % does not matter, only total dollar amount. and frankly, other countries need to step up

    and? that doesnt change the concept. I know a number of people who pick up an extra 20-30 bucks a week and thats about it. dont know a single person who thinks uber is fulltime

    On top of that, it was expensive, you could not share files over Bluetooth, it did not support 3G, it did not have an expandable storage slot and you needed iTunes for everything. But despite that, and to the horror of its rivals, everyone wanted one.

    just goes to show the best product doesnt always win - same is true with the ipod, there were better options at the time. the term "cult of mac" became known for a reason
