why not? Step one was tell the company, the company decided to not update the application which is a goldmine for hackers. He than has 2 options prove it, by going to denver and stealing the information and seeing how far he can take it.

On the one hand I do agree with you, it would be trivial to add encryption, but on the other hand, they dont HAVE to really offer wifi at all do they? The blame is solely with southwest in my eyes there is NO reason that user information should ever be sent in plain text when it concerns anything financial.

I agree with what you are saying, however how can you want rebates and subsidies from the government to "go gree" if you claim to be a libertarian? wouldnt you want to tell the government to stay out of the situation completely? let the market create the tech and than when it is financially viable it will take over? Thats my stance on green tech

Look at the department as the PS3 if you will, You have otherOS for a while, than all of a sudden an update rolls through and you can no longer access what you once could. (the police feed) My smartphone has an app that has scanners, some of the chatter on there is priceless.

no one is saying it was a complete rewrite, but what we are saying is that the differences are there, will a program written to run on windows 1.0 work on windows 7? The point is that there are differences. Hell even at my old company we had a HUGE deal because of version checks in the config files, when SQL server 2008 came out we could NOT install our software on the system due to the version check config file. It was a simple hack of the file to tell it not to do a version check, but to act like "anything written for XX will work on newer versions of XX" is what is complete stupidity
I have had to pull the batt on my droid 2 before and i love having that option. Lets face it sometimes things go wrong. I have an ipod touch in my car and every now and again it will lock up and freeze on me. but the worst part is the only way to recover it that I have found is to wait for the batt to die and start over
they have had these on NY trooper and even local cars for a number of years here now. Ours even check registration and inspection stickers as well as plates.
