we do not know that he used the companies time and resourses, all we know is that he had the companies name in his handle, than removed it when he left the company.
do we know for sure he made the account AT WORK, using work resources? At my previous job I worked on a few side projects, I always made sure to NOT use work resources, or be on the clock when I worked on said projects specifically to avoid situations such as this
can we really say the palm pilot is dead? or that is has evolved into the smartphone? when you think about it a smart phone is nothing more than a palm pilot with a radio in it

I dont know where you live but I live right next door to a grass fed cattle ranch, they treat their cows better than their wives! So how about next time you wanna talk crap about stuff you dont know anything about, you dont hide behind anon? Its not the crops that leave the ground salty, its the nutrients that are used, or rather over used that ruin the soil.
I have a serious question...who smokes the crap from mexico anyway?? I mean seriously, maybe its better way down by the border, but by the time it hits the north east it is not even smokible. its brown and hard and just....well garbage. the stuff grown in the US so much better, and besides, think local first, if you support your local grower, you are not supporting the violent gangs.
we could also look at phone numbers... when i was 6 or 7 i knew all my friends phone numbers...now i hate to admit i dont even know the phone number to my own house, its simply "call home" and it happens

Or the political troll who can show you every last time bush said X but did Y...but cant tell you what X or Y are unless hes at a computer.
What held people back the longest was the bad wifi support. it took until like 2 years ago for wifi to "just work" in most nix distros, sure you could get them to work but i mean even in win xp around sp2 or so wifi "just worked" I wont be one of those who sy "this is the year of nix on the desktop" but i will say it may be closer than ever now that the "important" stuff works, and by important, i mean to the masses.
exactly, i have a fb account with no info about anything i leave logged in at all times and use to register at sites i find from slashdot or digg or other sites that i dont plan on using more than a time or two, in the past i would read something and move on, now all i have to do is click the fb button to login? so those sites that i would have read once and moved on now have a user. it is smart on the sites end
drinking water wont be affected by anything, the one case where they tried to claim flames were coming out of the sink turned out to have nothing to do with it.
im not saying that they should just dig a big hole and ruin everything but we NEED these things, and me, living in the "kill zone" of indian point have no issue with it being there, and from the facts that we have gotten i see no reason fraking cant be done safely
sure, we could all live closer to where we work...but you know what could cut emissions even more??? if we all just lived where we work! it would be great, we wouldnt need to leave, we could all just do some work and others at our job could do other work, and we could just trade with each other right?? its the next logical step after moving closer to work right?
heres a clue, not all of us like to be in cities, not all of us like to be on top of other people, I enjoy living on a few acres out in the middle of nowhere, and it takes me 25 minutes to get to work. i wouldnt have it any other way
and who the hell are you to decide what should be legal or illegal? when did we declare you the decider? was there a vote or something? hey slashdot, you forgot to inform me of the vote to make this guy the decider!!!
well, not oil, but the environmentalists are in the process of trying to block natural gas extraction in NY state right now. under the US, there is more energy in thermal/oil/natural gas for us to be fine without saudi or outside influence, we just need to be able to get it without NIMBY issues
I agree totally it should be those micro transactions that do nothing but screw everyone that should be ensured to be taxed if we are doing something like this. maybe based on volume of trades, to encourage longer stock ownership and not speculators.

Can you imagine if we all of a sudden stopped killing the animals that we currently do? The overpopulation would be disastrous.
