I'm thinking you've not worked with large gardens, nor with flocks of chickens. Or if you have, your experience vastly differs from mine.
A) The garden I have is over 10 acres. I have 50 chickens. and they'd much rather destroy a pea plant than eat a bug.
B) Chicken Wire going around the 10 acres would be 3,000 feet of fence. And deer can easily hop over fences, while smaller animals simply burrow under. Now you need 10' tall fence buried 2' in the ground to keep everyone out. Yeah that's cost effective AND doesn't stop bugs.
C) High Tunnels. They control irrigation, wind, temps, and bugs/animals. without the cost of doing everything in a greenhouse.
YMMV, But my other half runs an organic CSA in upstate NY. We have 6 cows, 12 pigs, 50 chickens, and a Vizsla:)
But More Doctors != Better Doctors.
Do you really want your health-care professional to be someone who went for it cause it's free?
The goofy statistic of "1 out of 2 doctors graduated in the bottom half of their class" comes to mind... Yes I know it's not correct. But the problem lies in the fact that insurance companies, being profit driven, are not efficient forms of getting customer money and turning it into services. Don't even get me started about drug companies, You can't watch an hour of news without seeing ads for respiratory, ED or Fibromyalgia. That ad money has to come from somewhere too.
I see your point. And I agree somewhat, but there's a few little sticking points. Could you imagine everyone that files jointly suddenly have to file separately? Yeah, accountants would love it. Not to mention joint ownership of property, financials, etc.
I want a union, (ok it's not always civil;) Where we can be treated by companies and the government as a legal entity, I really could give a rodents posterior about what an organized religious body thinks of it.
I think a lot of what you say is something that very few on the right actually believe. I mean really, who doesn't love the idea of a smaller government, and financial responsibility. Heck, throwing the words "Financial Responsibility" around is like saying you want to protect children. You'll never find anyone for "Financial Irresponsibility". From my experience, (and YMMV) those who argue for small government seem to want smaller government where they see fit, and OMG HAYUGE govt where they don't mind it, Like telling me who I can marry. (anyone I want as long as they're lacking a Y Chromosome) And don't even give me that "some states allow that" BS, because till I can file jointly on my taxes, and not have to have an HR Rep "get back to me" to find out if my other half of 9 years (today) can even be acknowledged for health benefits, It just ain't the same. Then there's the whole "small government, but make sure abortion is illegal" crap.
I think if you WANT small govt, lower taxes, less govt interference in your life, it should be equal across the board. You might even want that. But the general idea of the parties on the right don't.
>Every tablet before the iPad had an Intel CPU. Intel CPUs are big, and draw a lot of power. That is, they suck.
Well the Atom processors are quite good at not draining batteries or creating a hot plate effect. I just wish they'd be more main-stream than netbooks and the one-off low-end PC. I want a dual D510 Workstation... It'd be less than any recent chip in TDP, and yet performance would still be snappy.
I would like to think no... That we would never want children harmed by using them as delivery vehicles or in protecting them and us by having them exposed to some TSA agent moving their hand along till they meet "resistance".
Yeah I caught the Mandelbrot Look-A-Like
I'm not worried about Tsunamies Crashing into them, at sea they don't have huge crests. However, They travel FREAKING fast as a compression wave, going from drifting to hitting a 500mph wave. Ships genearlly are not effected greatly cause if it hits bow to stern, it will only speed/slow the ship, if it hits port to starboard, it will pass quickly, but a mass of connected circles hitting and accelerating at different times? It'd be like a whirlwind hitting a bunch of railway cars linked together.
my washer/dryer have different times for different cycles. Whites are 1:10 and others are shorter. The dryer has a sensor and shuts off when the moisture content drops below one of 3 programmable thresholds. I want something to tell me on the second floor that my laundry is done and needs to be folded before it wrinkles.
Well if you're going to make analogies, keep them atleast the same form factor.
Newegg has 2.5" 128GB SSD's, for $278. so 8 = $2224
and their 2.5" HDD? 300GB for $260. 4 = $1040
so twice the price, less power, and 3-10x faster

The explosions in congress would be amazing.
