    Just pondering - if they've strung up a set of powerlines, would it be all that impossible to also put up some control-wires, and have that system air-gapped from internet/telecoms/whatever ?

    Pretty much all devices handle time as e.g. UTC, counting time-units since a defined Epoch, and then translates that into date/time for humans.
    I'd wager that this is also the case for everything FitBit.

    I'd expect electronics like this to just record UTC/GMT, and not bother with timezones or daily saving.

    Because that's the proposition from Intel - a cheap way to speed things up. The very fact that a Samsung SSD 960 Pro M.2 exists is completely irrelevant for the given topic.

    A car analogy: Your post was basically, "why buy a engine upgrade for 77 USD, when new sports-cars exists"

    Admittedly recently it's been for jobs working with my last employer's SCM system, and there's no way in hell I'll subject myself to that shit again*

    *: Both their system, and the employer, who'd likely be a supplier to these companies.

  22. About half of Congressional Republicans hate him with passion — and would rather collude with the opposition than with him.

    If this were the case the House Intelligence Committee Republicans wouldn't be dragging their feet on the Russia investigation.

    I'd suspect at least some of them worry that getting rid of Trumpy results in President Pence - lesser of two evils and all that...
