    Half of Belgium TV is French, all of it (French AND Dutch) seems rather crappy (CSI:whatever x7 and Big Brother VIPs)
    At least it is Analog for all over-the-air, and all digital TV seems to be some poor-quality IPTV (Belgacom is REALLY bad).

    I thought that "The Netherlands" (pl) were more than just Holland. Guess I was wrong?

    You paid for the thing, transaction is done. If the product is faulty under warranty (2 years where I live), demand a refund or accept to use a broken piece of something. If hit unknowingly, sue for damages.

    I AM interested in "next-gen" video, but aint no chance-in-hell I'd fork over money for Both a video-player And a game-console. I do not have that kind of cash, not room in my 50m2 living-room. I want 1 simple-to-use box that does it all and that the Girlfriend-unit wont murder me in my sleep for spending money on.

    (I am going for the PS3, btw...)

    Lack of development, me-thinks. Whenever I look at SDL, I find that they "look" old. All news also seems to be about games/engines using SDL, and not innovations within SDL.

    Might also just be that the website looks like it was done in the early nineties? ;)

    Actually, doing development on different platforms, and doing a bit of porting of commercial products, I can tell you one thing:

    Coding with Cross-Platform in mind can often save you money in the long run, simply because you tend to end up with cleaner code.
    Yes, I am not providing any proof, just a statement of a Windows/Unix/Linux/Mac developer.

    300 million in the US, 6000 million on the planet.... No, is not a matter of ignoring the US market, but getting the best product out and then sod it if 5% of the market choose to have laws making the best product illegal.

    (I know that there are different levels of computer-literacy in the various countries, but THAT shouldn't stop us from getting the poorer countries a great, cheap product!)

    I click a few buttons on my remote and my TV+Inet provider is streaming me an MPEG2/4 stream that gets displayed immediately on my telly. HDTV? Coming this december.

    Pay-per-view already lets me rent stuff without waiting, so outside of "owning" the stuff (which you can forget all about if living in the US-of-DRMed-A), there is no need for HiDef disks.

    ....and I'm gonna buy they PS3 + BluRay movies when available!
