    Have you ever looked at a McDonald's fry package? There's a patent there.

    Turns out they also have a patent on the process of dumping a cup of steaming hot joe on your lap, and now they're going after that woman for patent infringement. A spokesperson for McD's said they expect to receive twice what they paid her.

    Who do they think they're kidding? A person who has "borrowed" something is obligated to take reasonable care of it. So according to this EULA, you can't throw it away, damage it, leave it laying around where it might be stolen, etc.

    It's like a Trojan horse. Once you've let it into your house you're screwed.

    Maybe next time I need to store some stuff I'll drop it off somewhere with a note at the bottom saying I'm loaning the stuff to them and I can come back for it whenever I want.

    I never said he wasn't in favor of doing it, but that what you quoted him saying previously was exactly what a person making an excuse would say.

    That would be a convenient excuse for a person who was wrong but didn't want to admit it. Therefore, it is worthless.

    That said, I also think GPS is really hurting GA. Pilots don't really have the skills anymore to navigate by a good old NOAA map and land marks. I have seen even good pilots fall into the GPS rut.

    Yeah. There's not nearly as many good slide-rule users anymore, either.

    I don't see your point. If you don't say this to defend him, then why say it at all? It's totally irrelevent to the topic. If the purpose is (although you say it's not) to defend him, then it's pointless anyway, as it doesn't make his rant any more cogent.

    What's the relevance of a 7 year late OS? Apple makes good computers, but the bottom line is that the OS has been prehistoric.

    Apple is now trumpeting OSX with its amazing features like protected memory and preemtive multitasking, but those are features near 30 years old, features that (gasp!) even Windows has.

    With all due respect to Darek Mihocka's coding ability, this is just one long and lame rant. he's all over the map, spewing out whatever random disconnected criticism seems to pop into his head at the moment.

    He sounds like every ignorant mac/windows/linux/whatever basher to ever post to *.advocacy.

    Mac OS 8.6 and earlier are not even supported in emulation, leading me to wonder how compatible the "classic" mode even is
    mud-slinging. "They don't do A, so I wonder if they don't do B!" Even though they freely state they don't do A. This is followed closely by

    even Microsoft does not pull stunts like this

    so now his speculation about "how compatable the classic mode is" has turn into a "fact," and such a low one that even Microsoft doesn't do it.
