The judge said the Gunmen were responsible for the killings. So Piss Off! Yeah, they used guns and killed people with them. Let's sue them. Let's just forget about the fact that the people doing the actual killing lived in a society where killing is acceptable. Obviously manufacturing something used to kill a person is much worse than actually killing someone even if it's with one of the tools designed for some other purpose.
Cell phone spam could be the best thing to happen to us yet. People can ignore E-Mail spam becuase they dont see the actual effects, they're just a client, all they have to do is delete them or filter them or whatever. People are annoyed by telemarketers on the phone, but other than the annoyance, there isnt any real loss.... But now take Cell-Phones, which you have to pay for every time you make a connection. Suiddenly people are outraged at charges for things they didnt wish to recieve. It's brought up with the BBB, Cell Phone companies demand protection, and the end results are laws passed making it illegal to drain resources of a network with intent of making a profit without compensating the network or having the network's consent. Spam is declared larceny, Spam is made illegal as the costs of it are made more public.
Our eyes dont use flat colors, we sense different wavelengths differently, and RGB is just seperate wavelengths running together from being so close. In short, changing the Red value may be easier to see than changing the blue value, etc
Why not just make it so you can't patent anything which occurs naturally?
You patent the proccess by which you can synthesize it, sure, but how the hell are you supposed to patent something which occurs naturally anyway? Isnt it not 'non obvious' if it's already there?
This would be like some archeologist finding a scroll detailing how an obolisk could be raised by a single person and patenting the method: He did not come up with it, he should not get the patent
what is referred to as "The Human Genome" is not the complete DNA Sequence, but a small part of it which somebody decided was the part that defines who we are (I guess it varies more than any other part they bothered to study)
However many people are of the opinion that this is Bullshit.
I have my entire anime collection ripped for instant access, and I dont intent to ever stop this practice. (maybe if I get a hundred disc DVD changer.. but then what about VHS?)
I suspect that in coming years this will not be such an uncommon practice as to be called 'unreasonable'
just remember that sloppy, bulky, huge code, that's the wave of the future, and the only way some tasks will ever be carried out. 1TB-per-disc can't bee too far off, the public demands otherwise, it seems.
This proves that if enough people say "Damnit, I want to see Junkyard wars plus battle bots plus iron chef!" we'll get at least some combination, eventually.
Let's keep pushing for that iron chef addition though!
1) If AOL wants in on Linux, wouldnt the first step be to have products which support linux, rather than buying a Distro? Most people at least buy one car before starting a car factory.. Does AOL actually have some software which runs on Linux?
2) 'Linux Also runs the Sony Product' [regaurding the PS2], now this seems like something I would have heard previously. I had heard of people putting linux/on/ a Playstation 2, but is Linux actually a part of the thing? I thought it was just a sort of 'mod' for it.
3) And finally.. "Red Hat has claimed such big clients as Amazon.com Inc. and International Business Machines Corp., providing software and support for IBM servers that use the Linux operating system"
Okay, now "IBM" and "International Business Machines", I could have sworn that was the same thing, is there a seperate company? different divisions of the company? what?
I had that problem for a while since upgrading to 2.4.17, but since switching to Debian (and, obviously, installing another copy of 2.4.17)I havent had the problem. Perhaps it's some incompatability in RedHat 6.2's default install? (meaning some networking software, like the router, not the tulip driver itself)
I dont know though, especially since you didnt even say you were using redhat ^_^;
just wanted to let my opinions be known, despite having nothing to back them up.
I just think that no one should be/forced/ to do anything. Lots of good things are ruined by having it be a requirement.
People should be nice to eachother, if they are forced to 'be nice' they arent being nice, and being nice becomes impossible.
Hold on now, since when is lying wrong?

I assume you dont have the version which has an exploit anymore do you? Maybe since then you've upgraded a lot of software, actually..
Maybe since then you've upgraded every peice of software that came on the CD..
Hey, wait.. You're upgrading from the internet rather than buying new versions of software that you already paid for once?
Piracy of software seems to be down from last year, so why are companies complaining?
Simple: They are basing it on their revenues, not a study.
_FREE_ software has gotten more popular over the past year, and when companies used to blaming piracy see their drop in figures, they'll start complaining about piracy of course.
Then from loss of money they'll switch to running/their/ businesses on free software.
Ha!:D
You are a failure, failure.

This guy needs to watch more movies, he doesnt seem very experienced.
The article not existing at all wouldnt mention either.. would that imply the pop is going down?
read the article before saying shit like that

You GOT THE FUCKING POINT!
Yes, if RedHat sells you defective software it is your RIGHT, one which not enough administrators take advantage of, to go get working copies.
"One Thousand Toasters!!"
see? you dont get it.
