If they're ID'd by exact length of the songs, I suspect that this is done by those who would be pirating regaurdless of digital format [assuming demand was just as high] My reasoning goes like this: when some shithead trying to make money off a pirated CD makes copies, he copies the data directly from CD to CD, all the data is the same. However, when Bob Fuckface, ordinary internet shmuck like one of millions who uses sharing programs does it, he takes a CD, rips it to MP3, then burns it again later when some asshole friend wont shut up; or, he downloads the MP3s, and burns it to CD from those. When/I/ rip CDs [since I hate these stupid physical things], I tend to wind up with a half second to five seconds cut off on the song, because the silence is removed, or the compresser throws it out, or the ripper decides to be shitfaced and stops early or something. Then when I burn the CD, I burn it in the order I want to burn it, and usually dont use all the same songs from one album. Just a thought, I dont understand how they can expect accurate readings from a copied CD. maybe someone who's stupid enough to think that pointing out how I'm wrong does somebody some good will respond

Already, I make it a standard practice of mine to take movies ripped from many DVDs and put them onto a single disk. If I had a DVD burner, that proccess would be much simpler. I would much rather have all my movies on a single disk than many disks with wasted space. There is loss in quality as they are recompressed, but for many things: I dont give a shit. The industry is constantly wasting money now to bring out "enhanced" or "restored" versions of movies. I dont want that. For a shitty TV Show, or something which had shitty visuals to begin with, did you know that rather than these 2 shows per disc shit, you could have had the whole series and not even notice? Larger storage space is just that: larger storage space. I dont want to Pirate Movies, I just want to watch them in a format I dont consider stupid.
I dont like my theater, I want to put it out of business. On the other hand, for every thousand things LucasArts does, one or two of them is really great, so best to have another few bucks in the hands of lucas, rather than in the hands of my crappy movie theater. DIE theater!

Since when have we made an actual, physical contract with the government under which we are ruled? The "Government Contract" was the principle idea of the Declaration of Independence, yet no actual/document/ existed. [they just wrote it] When you watch a show, it's implied that you'll be watching the commercials. That's what the broadcasters are broadcasting for. If you dont watch the commercials, technically, you _ARE_ stealing. There's no law against it, and there can't be a law against it, but it remains that you're watching their show without paying for it.

If merchants are forced to deal with cardholders directly, this means that rather than using a trustworthy 3rd party a credit card number which is used to withdraw an ammount agreed apon by the cardholder, Cardholders must deal only with merchants, people they dont know. Some people would rather only pay with paypal, who they know isnt going to steal their number in a year.
