My point is just because of shipping cost issues making this car not available here it doesn't make 65mpg so revolutionary. BTW Toyota claims the Prius gets 65mpg and last time I checked they were still widely available.
So what would I rather have, a car that would struggle to even pass the simplest of crash testing, or one that does from a manufacturer that is new and unproven? Excuse me if I look for another revolution.......
My bad. But even at that they are using expensive steel and still using titanium in the car somewhere. If it has to be welded or machined it is one expensive proposition. With that plus the carbon fiber body, I find it hard to believe they could keep the cost that low. If they chance materials, those mpg numbers change, certainly if they are even worried about ounces in the lug nuts.
With carbon fiber body and a titanium frame, it costing less then $20,000 sounds not even possible.
Add to it the 800lbs GVW and if the thing gets hit by another vehicle in the 2000lbs range it will certainly fly off the road. Good start, just not very believable in the statements made.
I had to scroll this far to see this comment? Mod up parent.
The only reason there is cheap high fructose corn syrup is because the massive corn subsides make the process cheap and profitable. If there were none, sweetener would be pure sugar from beats or cane. Falsely cheap corn because of subsidies causes uses for it that would normally not be economical nor profitable.
Yeah and where exactly does the government get the money to keep energy prices "artificially low"???
TAXES!!!! The taxes that I and most other on here and in the world PAY!!! They don't go to some magic money tree and wish for funding low energy prices, it my and most Americans tax dollars.
For fucks sake, I am SOOOO sick of this jackass response of "the government pays to keep 'x' cheap". Yeah and it my fucking tax dollars that they use. Sure, jack up the prices on it all if all those taxes that gets the funding for it is dropped, cause in the long run we are paying higher energy cost then one might think.
It's a real great argument to use if the person you're telling it to is a brain dead idiot and thinks a government could actually turn a profit.
Oh and I meant to put in that apple iOS network finder will find 2 to Wifi-fo-fums ten, even when Wifi-fo-fum will let you connect to a network that doesn't show on the weak iOS network finder
Nice that they post the rejection guidelines, but when will they actually follow them? The WiFi finders that disappeared is one. If Apple thinks that is own wifi locating software in iOS is enough to trump all the quality apps that were out there then that means they could do the same for any app even if the app performs better then the so called existing app. The wifi finders found 10x the networks that the network finder in iOS finds, yet this was enough to have apple take the stupid action of eliminating all wifi finders. An example is Wifi-fo-fum which will find 10 networks, tell you the mac, mode, security protocol channel, rssi and rates as opposed to apple's that tell you subnet and ip, with rssi only given in the form of the signal graphic that is about useless when trying to trouble shot signal strength on a wifi network and what might be affecting it.
Yep push the model of Nike+ and them trying to sue every manufacturer of shoelace pouches designed to hold the sensor in a effort to force buyers in to buying only Nike+ approved shoes. Guess that is like the lock down on modding of games on the PC lately, traveled over from the console and it's mostly (in the stock form) locked down platform?
Nice having the balls to call me out under anonymous coward. That really shows you are a man.
Yeah, I should volunteer to do something for a company to avoid them getting sued. Should I also drive everyone everywhere so that they avoid tickets? Maybe I should pay everyone's bills so they are not late too? Maybe I should just kick you in the ass so your parents don't have to do it anymore?
It was a simple suggestion that I think was simple enough, but you the ass clown of the day, had to get all emotional about it. Cry more you little bitch!
Norton is SOOO much more creditable with Snoop on board. Of course if you smoke 15 joints a day, a system with Norton installed on it might still seem fast to you.
Is it what people want or what they have accepted? With the advent of the internet many have gotten online in the past ten years that are not really computer literate, going for a cheap computer that has windows installed on it. Most times these people could due with a install of Ubuntu and fill all their needs with it.
I have installed Ubuntu on 5 customers computers since installing it on one that had bought a computer with a pirated copy of window that didn't "genuine" itself properly and didn't have anything else to install. He showed it to friends and relatives, praising the speed and sent them my way for installs. The best part is Ubuntu is about ten times easier to install then windows. Never thought I'd say that about a linux distro, but it's true and even after the leaning curve all have called again to thank and rave about how much better their computers are running. Granted a fresh install of windows would have went a long way, but it would be no where near in speed of boot as Ubuntu is.
If you have a quality product people will buy and use it, even if it costs more. I am certain if you charge a little more for products that are better in quality it will sell and over time be the best selling brand because word of mouth is powerful.
Should be a lesson to all businesses that outsourcing has even more draw backs then originally thought.
Have worked for companies over the years that outsourced design work there and it was a lesson in "you get what you pay for". S.O.P. not followed, formats disregarded, no concept of how to use software correctly, and not using any kind of standard in the dimensional drawings.
If you have ever dissected a product and wondered why on earth it was designed in such a stupid way it is because of design taking a back seat to getting a product to market, outsourcing to countries with ill trained people that are akin to slave labor and pushed to get things out as fast as possible, and stupid design decisions based on saving $.01 even if it hurts the integrity of the product.
Somewhere along the way corporations convinced themselves that people do not want quality products and instead would like to pay full price for something that will definitely break prematurely.
Are you actually quantifying the Democrats move as a only 1% representation of the party as a whole? You are the fanboy I speak of and you need to read up a little (lot) more if you think democrats are so less evil and devastating. You have fallen for their PR campaigns.
And democrats would never resort to such questionable tactics would they?
Here's a news flash, both sides suck and neither represents the general voting public. If the fanboy idiots of the political world would just realize that, we'd all be better off.

Yes 65mpg would be SOOOO revolutionary
Is that why TFA says a "the team assembled an ultra-lightweight car that provides all the comforts of a standard 4-passenger vehicle"?

Could the amount of bird hunters the pigeon passes effect it's TTL numbers?
Maybe it is a little too extreme of a way to get out of paying a student loan?

So you are saying you don't wash the vegetables you buy? Good luck with that being healthy.
Doesn't it sound pretty close to following the Microsoft business techniques?

BTW, on a serious note, if it was a lens flare or glare why isn't it appearing like the star next to it that seems to be suffering from those effects?
You know if you say Betelgeuse two more times that creepy pervert from the after life will appear, so be careful!.
AHHHHH DAM, I said it once so if it is said one more time, the self proclaimed "Ghost with the most" will show up. You have been warned!
So to sum up could we use the iconic words of Forest Gump, "stupid is as stupid does"?
Skype has eluded profitability in four of the last five years and cash-rich e-Bay, which still retains a considerable stake in the firm
Again from TFA......

Easy, die grinder to the rescue. Sure word will get on and just remove the number from the mold then keep on selling.
