    Uh, that's because the I-Opener sucked and no one signed up for service.

    I bought mine to hack, but stupid me tried their service anyways. Chat never materialized, streaming audio broke itsself, and they "updated" the ROM for me. Let them eat debt I say.

    It's also not possible to run "backups" on the cube, no one has managed to solve that either.

    Has anyone solved MAKING backups yet?

    No point being able to use what can't be made existant...

    I've never liked the term "megapixel".

    Its inaccurate, and it says very little about the real width by height resolution offered.

    The Amiga's sound system was 4-channel (2L, 2R) 22kHz, 8-bit, right?

    It was certainly not limited to 22 KHz, it was also variable.

    Uhhh, GNU/Linux running on a nice speedy AMD Athlon system sounds just fine to me. What's your Amiga, 25MHz? Fucktard.

    Good for you. I haven't managed a setup I feel at home with yet.

    My Amiga is 50MHz.
    It would run well at 25MHz, I don't see that as a bad thing.
    (it actually has a 7 MHz CPU in it if I get bored with the MC68030)

    Question is for which Amiga OS? Classic? H&P's wb 3.5/3.9? HYPErions OS4? Berniethlon? AROS? DEad? MorphOS? OH yeah, C='s Unix for the A3000Us?

    Ummm, UNIX isn't AmigaOS.

    MorphOS is a PPC kernel isn't it?

    I haven't heard of DEad or Berniethlon before.

    Classic (typically OSes 2-3.1 but not excluding 1.x) and 3.5-3.9 are not dissimilar (though the later ones have undealt with problems) and are usually what is meant by AmigaOS.

    OS 4 depends on how Amiga like it is (if its a freak good luck).

    I even think the Amiga is pretty dead though, I just wish there was a good OS/hardware thingy to replace it.....

    Of course, the fault tolerance that is built in to our systems can withstand quite a few failures before we would be in any trouble (up to half), and even then there are tapes behind most of it.

    So, what is the minimum size a single meteor has to be in order to cause data loss?

    In short, the Ogg format wouldn't cost much to support, and it might swing potential buyers towards your device instead of a competitor's player.

    Yeah, having the "Jesus beating the crap out of a snake" logo or the "rotating fish" logo on the box will certainly be a competitive advantage!
