    Seems the best way to go would leave a whole mess of hooks in for temporary per session patches in the case of consoles with read only media.

    On the console thread still, contrary to alot of messages I've seen here. I don't think cheating will be so easy. Then again I've only played Quake 1 on a 13 year old machine, so I'm not much of an authority here.

    Problem is you're moving all that redundancy to the libraries. Which surely copy many things amongst themsleves.


    I miss the Amiga's centralized library directory... But I've stopped cracking RC5 keys for their team. :-)

    I bet you'd be surprised how overkill that sounds for kicking up gravel on a 640x400 type display.

    Do you realize how much Sony shot itsself in the foot by making the PS2 so imbalanced? I think you will come this time next year.

    Gobbling ibuprofen? The pain is there to tell you not to do that, ignore it wholesale and you will suffer in the long-run.

    I only agree with the rest part.

    Ice will make the soft tissue more fragile and slow down healing. I dunno what you're thinking when you say compress, YOU NEED good blood flow to heal. And my last statement goes for elevating too.

    Pretend there could be more effective chips out in the future (or now).

    Lets not forget that even they way they want it, bits are copied about like no tomorrow.

    From the media through all sorts of interfaces, to RAM, through CPUs, into the DAC, out the speakers, resonating all convenient surfaces, rippling across synapses.

    Obviously some people will never be happy until they root reality.org. :-)

    Hey, you couldn't effectively run Art Department Professional 2.5 on a C64. ARexx really shined then.

    My kingdom for that flexibility/simplicity on any other PC OS...
