If I won you wouldn't be eagerly feeding an industry that values your lack of privacy and treats all clients like terrorists because there are lottery-type odds that they are.
Never mind all the stupid news stories it generates.
I said WALK. So your joke should go along the lines of "after all, dragging a city sized tank of liquid nitrogen across the atlantic ocean isn't too much of a chore once you get used to it".
Of course, if you're gunna accept swimming as a walking substitute, you could also consider meandering about a cruise ship a decent substitute too.
Blogging is the ultimate vanity... a public diary about "me" that the rest of the worls is just *dying* to read. I mean, really... who wouldn't want to know what I had for breakfast this morning?
Yeah yeah, but what about your ongoing internal struggle about choosing which different wattages of lightbulbs to buy?
Today, there is WAY too much demonstrable legal use of BitTorrent to make the claim that it was created for the sole purpose of distributing copyrighted works without authorization.
I wouldn't have guessed after trying a few searches on bittorrent.com.
Bittorrent usage will have to change, radically, if it is to look like something other than a pirate net from the searching end...
Know of any search terms that don't flood the screen with illegal crap?
Wacky proprietary software going "gee, power levels are going down sharply, I think I'll initiate a modem disconnect to whatever field in that webpage you're using, even though I'm on broadband, and then maybe I'll catch fire or something.
I killed the ads when they started moving and flashing alot. When they make ads, they apparently don't care if they P-O their target audience or not. (if you want my money, don't annoy me)
I however do support Slashdot through reasonable additional commentary and moderation. I've considered ditching/. for all the pointless junk they've been posting as stories though.
Further, Slashdot doesn't really support itsself well, cheerfully wasting bandwidth on broken HTML (inciting reloads, and numerous unaddressed comments regarding said brokenness), repeat stories, and so forth.
The premise in court is (right or wrong) that the Music Industry is losing thousands per filesharer, for a specific reason. That is, each song available for download is being downloaded by thousands of people, and each of those downloads costs the RIAA membership the sale of a CD. Thousands of downloads * CD sale = mucho cash.
If the RIAA is loosing a whole CD sale per song downloaded, even if multiple songs from the same CD are being downloaded. Well, the courts have a mighty fine reality distortion field up...
What about lynx?
I wondered that immediately, we're prolly in redundant territory, but I'd like a response on this.
Any l33t lynx crackers got some sploits on it saved for a rainy day?
("they all trust lynx, I'll pwn them all, hahahaha!")
Both OSes suck.
The Spinning Pizza Wheel Of Death is bloody annoying.
In true Slashdot style though, I can't imagine much worse than Windows.
Linux kinda sucks too, manufacturer support would be nice here, though there'd still be suckiness left.
I'm not intentionally trolling, it all sucks to varying degrees. Otherwise we wouldn't care.

I'm amazed with all the crap that one goes through that airlines are still in business.
I reached the "I'll walk instead" point a while ago.
Yeah, email ettiquette has come a long way, ROFL.

Well, that's what you get when you leave your caseless pc outside during a thunderstorm!
While propped up on a 200 foot grounded pole...

Oooh, Babylon-X.4 was supposed to have enabled a change of tide in the Adwars a thousand years ago, right?
Well, I keep mentally gagging on the term "podcast" myself. Its not like the iPods have any transmit/recieve ability at all.
Best I can think of is some guy on a boat using one of the smaller iPods as fishing bait (k k k k k k k k k k k k k k k splat).
I think I would have paid Peter Jurasik to stand in line and in character. That'd be a frikin riot.
WMV isn't that much better... And lets just forget RM.
Really, welcome to the wasteland.
6. Special monitor must be installed which notifies the Fire Department when your frame rate exceeds 250.
me@here:~> glxgears
6843 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1368.600 FPS
7600 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1520.000 FPS
7519 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1503.800 FPS
7593 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1518.600 FPS
WE'RE ALL GUNNA DIE!!!!
Yeah, I can see this.

I dunno, I have TWO WHOLE AMIGAs lying around here.
I'd bet there are 1500 public access TV stations that each have at least one Amiga lying around.
Maybe Amiga isn't dead, maybe its just Cuba thats dead...
The story title seems wordy, heres the short version.

I feel no guilt here.
I think this is just a gratuitous use of the word monkey.
Spiders would be a better fit. Moreover, the honey is behind the spiders, so it'd be a SpiderHoney network.
I forgot Slashdot had ads, apparently AdBlock says I'm no longer demoing Slashdot... :-)
Yeah, I had to set up my MythTV seven times yesterday.
Now that I have to pay to set it up, I've forgotten where I was going with this mocking reply...
Of course, for Opera fans, you can add ads to Firefox!
I am one of many of us. Further, I'm not demoing anything that pushes ads at me.
