What the hell is this world coming to when you blame the vendor/sql/whatever-else when a "user" intentionally performs a malicious attack for whatever reason? This guy is a criminal and no better than any of the virus and malware writers out there. Do any of you have a clue as to how much these cyber-criminals actually cost the rest of us?     It's not stealing. It's copyright infringement. Yes, it's illegal, and (usually) should be. Yes, it's (usually) wrong. But it's still not stealing, and yes, the distinction does matter.

    Right. Steal something $100 and it's petty theft. "infringe" on some copyrighted software of the same value and it's a federal case.

    It's not going to work. It's not about saving anybody's anything. It's about power. Even if it's proven that we're not responsible for the changes, there will be some sort of legislation to regulate solar activity. Naturally, that will require increased taxes and regulation.
