All you have to do is recognize an apple security badge one time and suddenly you'll be able to recognize apple employees at large since most people do not put their badges away. It always easy to tell who works at Qualcomm, fellow employees at SCEA, etc, while eating at the local food court over here.

There is an offline option, but you must already be online to enable a game for offline play.

That's incorrect. If you're disconnected from the internet, there is now a "Play Offline" button in the error dialogue when Steam says it can't connect to its services, which switches to the 30 day offline mode. If you can't see that button, completely close out steam and reopen it. You'll see it on the next connection error you see.

It was finicky for the longest time but I've never had a single problem seeing the button since.

The reason I ask this is the one criticism I have for Steam is on their big sales it is often difficult to see at a glance which games use ONLY Steam DRM

Huh? It's not, really. In the game details (where the publisher, etc are displayed) for the game and even sometimes in the system requirements, it will say "Uses 3rd Party DRM" and often which form of DRM it is. Games that require you to be online (Ubisoft crap) will have an online disclaimer under the description which states this fact as well.

Some games omit this information but any time I've seen this happen it always seems to have been an oversight rather than having no intention to mention it.

I'm curious about how spanking could be classified in the same area in the examples you give. Both situations could lead to issues up to and including death if such problems requiring this care are not provided, and are only necessary because there is no way to prevent this pain while providing the cure to the situation. I'm sorry if I find it hard to believe backtalk is in line with medical treatment. I do not believe social order should be maintained through physical discipline. That is the root of my issue with spanking.

A real problem with spanking as a whole is it is more often not the clearly responsible, loving parents you describe who are doing this. Another part of the problem is how vague the word "spanking" is. I am not strictly opposed to the idea of spanking but the reasoning, implementation, and severity. I grew up in a spanking household. Spanking in my house were incidents that often led to bruising. Lets not pretend this is abnormal in scale. My dad was not an especially violent person, or a drunk. He was a hard worker and a generally well rounded person. I did not even feel the way I do now back when I was a kid receiving these spankings. I certainly did not like them, and it made me fear my father, but I had no interest in the politics of it as I was just a kid. It was around the time my dad broke down in his old age and told me how sorry he was for it that I started to consider the actual issue and form my own opinion.

Honestly, it doesn't matter what I think, or what you think. People will do what they think is right when raising their kids. This can either be terrible or it can be good. But I'm only providing my point of view over what I think is right in this world made of shades of grey.

The only reason this actually works for Chrome is because all extensions written for Chrome are completely forward compatible. This is not the case with Firefox as of my last dealing with it, and the API is still subject to go bonkers and change without notice between updates. Users who want or need to install plugins for Firefox will most certainly be exposed to the version number still.

No ability to name the Google Drive folder, only choose its location (the same as dropbox, but a lot of people were hoping for "pick any folder anywhere").

That's incorrect. If you specify advanced setup, it lets you pick exactly where and what the folder is named (Mine is just named "GDrive").

I'm personally disappointed by their sharing scheme, that you need to perform so many steps to get a link to share, and there's absolutely no means to generate a link without going through all the steps on the webpage itself.

A bit rough around the edges. For some reason, it won't sync new .txt files that are created inside. It will just say the files on unsyncable even if nothing has been put into the text documents yet, and even if data is stored in said documents. It's new, so I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt. But I definitely would stick to dropbox for ease of use, unless I want to share entire directories, then Google Drive is the superior store.

However, it would be best if the employer spelled that out with a contract. It would probably be best if such enterprises had their employees sign a "non-compete" for the industry their organization is in, effective in case the employee voluntarily chose to leave, and with a small salary continuing for the non-compete period to secure the employee from being hired by a competitor during that period. This is more fair to both employer and employee -- the employee cannot be poached, unless the employee is fired without cause; if the employee is released with cause, or chooses to leave the business, they continue to be paid a sustaining wage. The competitor can offer the 33% increase after the 2 or 3 year period.

It's not bullshit, and reverse engineering has nothing to do with it. The reason Teller is suing is not because of the magic trick, but the pantomime. Teller has a valid copyright on Shadows. The copyright goes into great detail about how the scene is set up and performed.

For some reason, this guy got the bright idea to mimic the whole setup with the rose and the vase, the white background, etc. Had he changed it up a little, used a different kind of flower, something other than a large knife, etc, we wouldn't be having this problem right now. He even references Teller by name in the description for the video. On top of that? The kit he's selling also mimics the material Teller uses.

I'm entirely with Teller on this one. And before someone mentions that US copyright laws aren't enforced in Dutch courts, this person was selling the kits to the US too.
