Thanks for that NOVA Ep recap i saw 15 years ago. Apple didn't copy btw, they purchaced it along with the mouse that Xerox didn't feel was viable. The OS has matured a long way, and just like music its all about building upon the shoulders of giants. Apple did it better on the surface, and under the hood while Microsoft did it better in the engine.
Windows copied the Mac OS, no one will dispute this, not even Bill. Mac is not duplicating windows at all, they are only makeing it easier for a PC user to switch. This comes directly from Steve. There is no benifit of the windows OS except its memory schemes, the new Mac OS is just a comprimise.
No matter how badly I want to live long enough to enjoy these things, I know I won't due to how money is spent these days. I'm going to bet that we will go to war with Japan again before we build a base with them becuase of the american need for low cost Hello Kitty products.
Your comment is part of the issue. As someone producing the tech for making these discs I know for a fact that the encoders have a lot to do with the issue just as DVD did in its beginning. The second issue is the decoder and its immaturity. Any comparison done now is practically pointless. One generation from now you wont see a difference other then the features differences between the to format spec.
Thats a Dell M60 or M70. But that doesn't really matter. It has Lipo batts, and so does everthing. You short one of those batts, and thats what you get.
Well, as a developer of these two new formats I have seen the original source and transcodes in person. While nothign will ever touch Uncompressed Online Video, but the new H264 transcodes look very nice. You lose a little depth, but you always will with compression. Now I'm not sure what those films were transcoded too, but you have 3 options for HD. MPEG2, VC-1 (WindowsMedia) and AVC (H264/MPEG4). I haven't seen these streams played back on Bluray hardware yet, but I really am not impressed by the HD-DVD hardware at all, So i can assume the same will occur with the Bluray HW. Anyway, its new and exspensive, and all things have growing pains. So the point i'm just trying to make is this... Its the hardware decoders fault, not the source transcodes. So be nice.
The eMate was around $700 +/- and was great for kids and young students that couldn't afford a computer that at the time was over $1.5k for both mac and PCs desktops let along laptops. I think quite a good step for its time, remember this was 10 years ago. Anyway, I'm just saying that the goal is the same and the price is equivilent relitive to the rest of the market.:-)
Alright everone hold on, cuase its time to make money before HD! That's right, master everything in HD and then down sample to D1 so that we can make one last push to SD before we can sell the same thing to the HD crowd again!!. Lucas is ready, are you?
So let me get this stright.
Not only do i need to pay Nintendo $225, but i also have to find 225 European people to trade in for a bloated overweight game system that weights in at 150lbs! WTF!
Wait...
So what you're saying is that Apple Computer fixed something that could cuase a security issue before they were forced to due to a virus outbreak? Wow, they shold be ashamed of themselves for now following standard practiaces.
OMG!!! Ewoks!!!
Seriously, wtf is lucas doing. He has become not only what he despised when he started out to be a film maker, but he's also become the evil that he frack'n writes into screen plays! HOLY CRAP! I live in marin and accually see him quite offten driving his average everyday commuter car (Farrari) to work (Ranch) and take pleasure in flipping him off ever time i see him tugging at his fluffy ewoke beard pondering what his next crappy move will be.
1. The biggest secret in movie history was that vader was lukes father, so much that it was kept from the crew until show time.
2. When asked if "a new fan started to watch starwars for the first time, what order should they watch it in?" Lucas said EP 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Uhm... wouldn't that void the surprise that he worked so hard to keep?
Seriously, someone lock him up before he starts remastering the Ewoke adventures and runining... oh wait, nm.
You are awesome at not understanding anything. You win!

Now i know that the Vikings landed on the America's before Colubus did, but I'm not quite sure about landing on Mars.

Uhm... I believe that Apple already did this 10 years ago. Again, ahead of their time.
COBRA!!!
I call that Adventures in Babysitting!

How about each entry has to make a flight sim that runs on a Atari 2600. Luner Lander - X-prize edition!
